The things that have become worse now have been mentioned several times now - and I can only underline every single of these complaints. The website is now only half useful as it was before. Please change it all back - or give us at least the choice to change back by some button to press. This is horrible.

Hi everyone, I assume many of you have received their free Mary Hyde Code in the meanwhile, but they are not sure what to do with it. So I thought we maybe could share ideas here. What have you done/are you planning to do with your code? When I went through the travelbug gallery yesterday, many great ideas could be seen what folks have done with their code. Not the TBs. Groundspeak does NOT send out TBs. The send out tracking codes. One for each, who has collected all six souvenirs and filled out the form until August 20th.

If it's not, I guess I'll have to live with it and continue producing new ones https://coord.info/TB8NEZB Another idea could be to make a trackable pocket-CITO from it - a folded bin liner, covered by a wrap with the tracking code on it and instructions how to use it. or just print it out, laminate it and stick it to some metal disc (1-cent-coin?) - like micro-geocoins. There are so many ideas in my head to use this code, I wish I had some more of them ;-)

1. I already did. 2. I will print out round stickers, tape them into bottle caps and leave them in the visited caches for others to discover.

Also, in Deutsch: Wenn ihr alle vier Kartenteile erarbeitet habt in den letzten vier Wochen, und sie auch in eurer Souvenirs-Liste zu sehen sind, dann ist weiter unten bei T (so sinnentleert...) ein weiteres Souvenir dazugekommen, das nennt sich "The Lost Treasure of Mary Hyde". Da bitte draufklicken. Es öffnet sich die Seite des Souvenirs, und man sieht das Souvenir in groß. Auf diesem großen Bild mit der Schatzkiste und den Golmünzen befindet sich ein Wort, ein einziges Wort nur, und es ist gut zu lesen, man KANN nichts falsch machen. DIeses Wort bitte merken. Anschließend auf diesen Link klicken, der in der E-Mail auch genannt ist: https://www.geocaching.com/promotions/promo/maryhyde/ Wer NoScript oder sowas installiert hat, muss unbedingt wufoo.com erlauben, sonst geht's nicht. Dieses Formular bitte ausfüllen, dabei darauf achten, dass man mit seinem richtigen Geocaching-Nick eingeloggt ist, die zum account passende E-Mail-Adresse angibt, das richtige Lösungswort (siehe oben) einträgt, und dass pro IP-Adresse nur 1 Tracking-Code angefordert werden kann. Weitere Accounts müssten es über andere IP-Adressen probieren, Mobiltelefon etc. Absenden (submit). Theoretisch, wenn alles richtig gemacht wurde, bekommt man umgehend eine Bestätigung, dass man Erfolg hatte (Congratulations!...) und dass man den Tracking-Code am 24.8. zugemailt bekommt. Diese Bestätigung sollte kurz darauf auch nochmal per E-Mail eintreffen. Eigentlich relativ simpel - aber offenbar kann doch so viel schiefgehen....

Well' date=' then we are very different in this case. For me a great coin without an own icon is like a great car with a big bump in its side. Even worse! But there's hope for me in your words - I will wait - perhaps one day they will have their icon....

Would have loved to buy some of these - I really really like the design, and these words are more than true - but as these outstanding coins do only have the simple personal-Coin-Icon, I won't, for I'm sort of Coin-Icon-Junkie. Dunno why great coins like these don't have their own icon.....

AFAIK werden i, l, o, s und u nicht verwendet. Das schließt neben Verwechselungen auch viele Schimpfworte aus. Korrekt, außer im Präfix von Coins, da können alle Zeichen vorkommen: "die trackingnummern sind immer 6-stellig (z.b. PQ5XD7), wobei die ersten zwei zeichen bei jeder coinserie gleich sind (präfix). die vier letzten stellen sind alphanumerisch, wobei jedoch nicht alle zeichen verwendet werden, wegen verwechslungsgefahr (z.b. S kommt nicht vor wegen der zahl 5, I und L nicht wegen 1, O nicht wegen 0)" (Quelle: ernies geocoin.biz) Das kann eigentlich nicht sein. Ich hatte am Wochenende eine Begegnung mit einem TB auf einem Motorroller, in dem kam sowohl ein S als auch ein I (großes i) vor. Später wurden mir vom Owner des Rollers unter anderem zwei Coins gezeigt, deren TrackingCode ein O (oooohhhhhh) enthielt. Und ich hatte ganz am Anfang meiner Cacherkarriere mal eine Begenung mit einem TB, dessen Code enthielt ein großes ø - ich hab da nicht schlecht gestaunt. Also es gibt ALLES, und deswegen ist es 1. hilfreich, verschiedene, nicht eindeutige Zeichen durchzuprobieren und 2. als Owner ein Bild hochzuladen, damit man also Discoverer irgendwann sicher sein kann, das richtige Trackable zu discovern......

I definitely agree! Any Webcam-Cache is a thousand times better than millions of uncompassionately installed guardrail-caches, oh-look-there's-a-tree-caches and nano-at-a-lantern-post-drive-in-caches. For those have NOTHING to do with the idea of geocaching.
