The fact it has a code on makes me think it is trackable - where, however, is another matter! If you find out, maybe put a note with it before moving it on.

Should it be trackable at geocaching.com - is that written on the coin? It might be trackable on another site.

We use public transport and leg power to get to all the caches we can use it for, otherwise Ms Chizu's Ford Fiesta does us quite nicely!

Agreed. I like it by distance. An occasional 'by date' might be fun, but for practical purposes... let the users set a default in their profile or something. I agree - distance to me is a lot more useful so I'd hate to not have that as an option, at least.

Congratulations!! Looking at your logs I see that you found it That means you got a "First to Find" - meaning you were the first person to find it - that gives you a lot of kudos! I'm hoping to visit Japan next year (I'm learning japanese just now) so hopefully I'll do some caches there too.

We got some really good stuff at Tescos due to their 3 for 2 selection on a load of stuff at the moment. Fialing that Poundstretchers/Instore is a good bet for really cheap and cheerful stuff.

That's fine I think - different types of hide and containers make it interesting. If the container makes it a particularly tricky find though make sure it's reflected in its difficulty rating. Also I'd stay away from anything that's likely to get broken like glass etc.

Strange, having been a student in Cambridge I always imagined that it woulpd be full of good caches rather than just a few park and rides!! I can think of loads of good spots, but maybe they're all owned by colleges, who I can't imagine would let geocachers trample across theiir perfectly manicured grass !!
