  1. ok - the guy who is in it who I went to school with is on The Smoking Room and an advert for a bank (can't remember which one!) The guy I didn't go to school with is on Jam and Jerusalem and lots of other stuff!
  2. Oooo that's a lovely puzzle - being a molecular biologist I have the tools needed to solve it!
  3. Clue time - it features supporting characters called Sophie and Super Hans.
  4. and nope again! Slightly less "mainstream" than those two. It is a UK comedy though.
  5. Wow I really didn't expect to get that.... ok, what TV show is my sig line a quote from (chosen since I went to school with one of the stars in it)? No googling please!
  6. Lincoln has a fantastic 11th century castle and georgeous cathedral so it is worth visiting Lincoln for both of these things alone. Personally, I think the cathedral is the best I've ever seen, but I'm biased! It doubled at Westminster Abbey in alst year's "Da Vinci Code". The castle is also lovely and completely different to Edinburgh Castle. The only trouble with Lincoln is that it is not the easiest place to get to, either by train or by car but it's definitely worth a detour if you're heading north/south along the A1. In additoin there is a cache called "Lincoln sightseeing tour" that I haven't done but should do next month.
  7. Well I'm from Lincolnshire too and there aren't that many caches around there so far, although I'll be back down there in a month to check some more out. I'll let you know when I get back!

  9. The event has now been archived and the receipt for the donated money (£500 total) has been posted on the site. It shall go towards a Step-down Unit which they are installing this year. Thanks for everyone who helped raise such a great amount of money!
  10. Try asking at Boots photo or any other photo counter - they normally have loads of discarded ones to get rid of!
  11. In my opinion, I made it quite clear how funds were being raised on the event notes. If anything was misleading I apologise. The money raised at the event went to the Spinal Injuries Unit at Southern General, money donated online went to Spinal Injuries Scotland. I'm sorry if this wasn't clear. Overall we raised £1300 between the two charities so thanks for everyone who donating anything!
  12. We searched for a cache in a rather nasty park in Paris, littered with dog litter, rats and a woman peeing in the corner! We said so on our DNF and that surely there were nicer spots for the cache, and the DNF got promptly deleted. SOme people just can't take critisism.
  13. It looks like one of the buildings in Cardiff that they seem to spend a long time standing on top of in Torchwood.
  14. No problem - I just wish it was a feature that didn't have to be used so often!
  15. Either the cache-owner or the coin owner can mark it as missing. If it turns up again, the finder can grab it from the Twilight Zone.
  16. I think most people welcome constructive critisism on their caches - I know I do!
  17. Was it DEAD? More importantly, do you have a picture??
  18. There's normally a problem on a UK morning - it's when they seem to do maintanence etc.
  19. I called the unit today to check that they recieved the cheques ok and they did, so I should be getting a receipt by the end of the week.
  20. If there are any locations that don't "hold their own" so much, or are in a location where it would be hard to place a cache, you could make them a waypoint of a multi. That way you also make people read signs, notice boards, look at dates etc. rather than just finding a plastic box.
