I have the same situation. I just moved into my new house a month ago...
I live in a cove too On the other side of my back fence is a sidewalk and the main street going through town. I've been thinking about putting a self service web cam cache there. I was going to use a wireless webcam. All I need is a way to power the cam. I don't really want a extention cable running across the lawn. I can use my PC in the house to run the FTP site for the pics.
Anyone got an idea?!?

ROTFLMAF!!!! Nice sig!
O Yea, looks too fishy to me too!! I hope that we don't attract too many of these types. I mean that can turn up to be something really bad! Thats the biggest reason I prefer word of mouth vs. advertising Geocaching! Might attrach the wrong type.

I have one for my Meridicolor. I guess you can't really compare it, but mine works great. I've straped it to my MT. bike and take it on some rough stuff. The GPSr never reall budges.

You might want to check out some of comments on this thred... <--Markwell
I have the Meridicolor myself. I would really like the built in compass and higher res screen, but I don't think I could give up the expandabity. The SD card is a Hugh plus for me!

I have one on CWL005 - The Wolf River "Bottoms", this is how I did mine...
First, take the pic.
Then, goto the cache page and click "upload images"
Next, name the pic. If this is a spoiler I usually name the pic "Spoiler" because you don't won't to ruin it for someone who doesn't want to see the hint. That way they know its the hint.
Give the location of the pic with the "Browse" button.
Then, You can give a description of the pic.
And Finnaly click "Upload picture"
A link to the pic will be placed on the cache page. Make sure to make a point of it in your cache log, so they can refer to it if they need to.
Good luck!

Glad to see you had a good run while here in Memphis! Too bad you didn't hit any of mine... JK
But it looked like you were on the other side of town anyway.

I don't see it, but I get alot of "Woh! You look just like Edward Norton!" Mostly like his role in Primal Fear but I have a little lighter hair...

I use the MeriColor and the only thing I've always been jelous about is the eletric compass....
So you have to calibrate this thing regularly? and it throws the calibration off 15 degrees every time you change out rechargable batteries??? What?!?
Maybe, I'm not so bad off as I thought.

Thats an idea, but I doubt anyone (in my area) has broadband and a WiFi! You know the population up here is barly over 2000...

Excellent job The_Rocks! I put the link in my bookmarks and I'll probably use them on my next cache! Thanks!

Jeremy should hire Skydiver for a new stats section
Yea, I agree its a great idea for a stat page based on the visitation. I wish I knew how to start my own for my area.

I got the MeriColor, but man I wish they slapped a electonic compass in there. I'm almost tempted to trade it in for a MeriPlat.
I love the color but I also like love the upgradeable memory. Thats the only downfall I see of the ColorTrak or else I would of traded it in when they came out. I wish there was a way to upgrade the MeriColor and put a eletric compass in there but I can't see that really happening.

Well I know Skydiver has one for his area. I'd like to know how he gets his data, cause I'd like to set up a simmular one for my area.
Skydiver's Geocaching Point System
If your're reading this Skydiver please send my your code or at least a hint!?!?

It doesn't look like I'm going to be able to make it...
My daughters b-day party will be on the canoe day. Hopefully I'll have my own kayak next time yall head up there. Keep me posted!

Wow! , I didn't know that! I was hoping they would come out with some new software with direct route capibilites. I guess I should read the Magellan website more often.
