  1. I was on top for a couple of days awhile back. Then MD got the best of me when I finnaly got a job. I havn't looked at the stats in a while. Mainly cause the firewall blocks the site here at work, and I forget to check when I'm at home. I'm usually more intrested in the first finds by the time I'm at home.

This dang firewall drives me nuts. I've tired to connect to my computer at home so I could browse the internet at home. But not able to get though the firewall. If anyone got an idea I'd greatly appreciate it!

  2. As far as Blodlizrd and SoupNazi...

They are two seprate people. I've ran into them a few times. They just share the same mind sometimes.

I'm suprized WestNile7 hasn't joined the disscussion yet... heh heh Yo! Yo! you still out there? Or you krunk wit all your womens?

N-E-Way Monopoly tournament?? Would this just be a Geogathering to play monopoly? Sure I guess if I don't already have something planned. Or is this going to be real cache! I'd like to hear a little more...

  3. I read the logs on your TB: Loosy Goosey. Thats real funny! That just shows we got alot of great people playing the game with us!

    Thanks for posting this!

    Step 1: I buy a Travel Bug.

Step 2: When I find a cache, I log it on this site. While logging my find, I place the travel bug in the cache, then retrieve it from the cache. This is a 'virtual' place and remove.

Step 3: Repeat step 2 with each find of a cache.

This would then log my finds for me, right???

I am really new at this, so bear with me if I have this totally goofed up!

You got it! yea its a virtual place and remove, but I usually have a pic of my GPSr at the cache site. If its a virtual I usually take a pic of the cache area. Everytime you virtually place the TB into the cache you can write your own log to look back on.

  5. You could always use a Personal Travel Bug. This way you can track your miles, post pictures, write a little summary of your visit if you wanted, and have handy links to the caches you visited.

I have one Chuck's PTB Compass. My caching miles just turned over 5000 miles!

All you have to do is order a TB and just log it in the caches you visit. (just make sure you log your retrieval of the TB so that it doesn't show on the cache page)

I also have a Personal Travel bug that follows my caching adventures. As of last month The odometer just ticked over 5000 miles. Thats not inculding my trips back home.

  7. When you are entering your Coords, you are using that arrow keypad right? (you know the one with the <-, -> and up and down) You click the up (or down) key to change the numbers (coords) also you use the up key to change the E,W or N,S as if you were changing a number.

    Make since?

  8. I put together a Easter Egg Hunt, Geostyle! myself. Didn't have a large turn out be we had lots of fun. The kids loved it. I sat at a picnic table and program the waypoint into the GPSr and then set them loose. They'd go running out and finnaly bring back the egg yelling "Next!"

  9. Since I've started cacheing the number of caches in my area has more than doubled. Everytime you look at the list: "Search for caches from your home coordinates" you get the list of all caches found and unfound and it takes awhile to search through all the pages to find caches that are new or the one I'm looking for...

I'd like to see a link for:

"Caches unfound from your home coordinates"

    and

"Caches found from your home coordinates"

That way it'd be alot quicker to plan out my caching adventures.

    Thanks for your input!

  10. When I bought my first GPSr. I got it off of E-bay and it didn't come with a PC cable. So one day at work I manually punched in 75 someodd coords, when the whole time the "beep" feature was on so I was sitting in my cube at work with a GPS in had going "Beep..beep..beep..beep..beep" and so on...

Finnaly the guy behind me just about went nuts! Screaming "WHERE IS THAT dadgum BEEPING COMEING FROM!!!!" icon_mad.gif I quickly stopped and put it in the silent mode and contiued to punch in coords. icon_biggrin.gif
