  4. My fiance heard a story from some of his friends that go geocaching and i was wondering if anyone else has. It goes like this. In a big older city in the USA there is an old library like 80 years old and in it is a cache. (But no one knows its name.) Its hidden in a book some one brought from there house and stuck on the library shelf when you find the unmarked book, which has never been moved or even noticed by people. You open it and its hollowed out... and a note pad is in there and all you do is sign it and log it on the web site. Nothing to trade its the trick to find the right book. Sounds interesting!! Does anyone know if this actually exists or could I have given an idea to someone out there!! HEE HEE

  8. Hey fellow WNJ reader... well heres the latest news i know of from some of the sites. Demons Alley did catch on fire.. alot was damaged.. arson was the casue (go figure), but i do know that it is heavily guarded and you will be arrested if caught on the grounds even looking. HARSH i know!! Another... Issue 18 in the first 25 pages i believe (cant remember which page) there is a page story with photos titled "Abandoned Dutch Church". I for one know that this is no longer, it too was set on fire June 20th at 5 am, fiance was on the scene. I have pics to of what it looked like 3 weeks before it was caught on fire and while it was burning. If you would like me to send you a copy of the pictures.. I will just email me. I will be more than happy too email them. Also one of my caches is near that mansion that caught on fire (dutch church) its titled: Rescue 911 in New Jersey... if your ever in the area and would like to visit the cache and are a fan of WNJ, i would be willing to take you to the burned out building if interested... i brought back a few objects from the rubble. A hand made nail (as there were hundereds laying around), a door hinge and an ornamental shutter holders all old style. Vey Cool. Just let me know... anyone that is!! Peace and happy Geocaching!!

  10. My friend and I were talking today at work about GeoCaching and she was asking a bunch of questions and i was trying my best from what i know to answer them. We got to talking about the different places I knew where caches have been hidden. Anything from under water to Moutain Tops. She came up with a few wild ones and it got us both thinking. AIRPLANES... even though you probably would not use a GPS unit u would have to find it from clues. YA RIGHT!! Try explaining that to a cockpit full of pilots with guns. on a FERRYBOAT... now this I could see happen.. or maybe it already has... a CRUISE BOAT... hmmm maybe??!! .... in MALLS ... nahhh to many people ... Kinda curious if anyone else has heard of any weird places or have found any.. and what is the weirdest place you have found a cache.

  12. My fiance thinks that he is bad luck for me. I find them when he is at work but when ever we are together we have tried 2 of them and only found one, and he complains about the bugs. Poor Baby!

  14. I had a great idea today on where to hide my 2 next caches out in the great state of NJ... but i was wondering if I might be just dreaming or could it be reality. Can you place cache's out and around Rest Areas on major highways??? Say like for instance 295 or 95. Just curious to see if any one knows a bit about this, if you can or not. Thx

  18. Well... hmmmm! This is my first post but i can tell you, I would definatly think twice before asking a simple question like NJ_Tonto did. He just about didnt get any help. People and fellow geo-cachers should remember there are new people trying this sport every day. Heck! I'm only a 2 weeker here... took me 3 days to figure out the Magellen 315 model. But i love it dearly. NJ_Tonto I'm from NJ too. Dont worry you will do fine and most of all GOOD LUCK Hun!!
