  1. Hi all. my Etrex Legend old faithfull blue black and white has started crashing. It will go to a blank screen with one vertical line running through it and can not be turned off nor any functions will work. I have to pull a battery to get it to reboot. Is there any hope for my old freind? Or should I just buy a new HCx? Thanks. Cladius.

  2. It is worth the $30.00 a year just for the intertainment this forum delivers. On a serious note I don't mind paying a fee for something this much fun God knows I spend much more on things I enjoy far less. I also don't mind someone else enjoying what my small contribution helps provide. I do however think those that are hitch hiking shouldn't complain they don't like sitting in the back seat. Thanks for the ride. Cladius and three dogs.

  4. Go with the canoe it is much more practicle for two people and easier to get in and out of. A 14 1/2 foot model would be fine for you two. You will find a canoe can be bought for the mid 300 dollar range that will serve you for years. later on if your kid is still into going with you get one man yaks for each of you. happy paddling. Cladius.

  5. I went to find a cache today to be confronted by the property owner about what I was doing! She turned out to be very nice and (after some smoosing by me) I showed her how the GPS worked and explained the game to her. Just a reminder to think before you place a chache. Happy Holidays. Cladius.

  6. I "found" 35 caches tonight. I printed them out and everything! Tomorrow I will start checking on them to see if they are still there. Prolly sign the log books while I'm at it. Geez you have to look in a mirror don't you?

  7. As a Bow hunter myself I try and be as curtious as I can and not spoil some poor guys hunt who may be using a pressious vacation day to enjoy a legal activity and help manage game populations. I will go out more toward mid day or wait untill Sunday when no hunting is allowed in my state. The woods are there all year I can give up a few weeks for others to enjoy their sport.
