Hey all
Im in the country for another 3 weeks and would love to go up Sani Pass again as i have not done it in a long time. Myself and Wayne want to go but unfortunately Waynes 4x4 would not be allowed up the pass, so here i am asking if there is anybody that would like to go and make a day of it possibly stay a night but really a day would be great. We wanting to do the few new caches up there. So if there is anybody that is wanting to go and could take us up i would be most greatfull. Obviously it would have to be a Sat or Sunday.
I would love to go with you, but also do not have a 4x4!!! Bummer...

Just wondering how many actually went to SA cachers? I understand 50 of each were made... I have 1 of each colour. Who also has??? Would be great to know how well the SA cachers supported this run as future reference...
I've got 3 of the 4. I got the copper one from the site after the others were already sold out...

Hi all,
I want to ask Coinsandpins to create more of these coins:
Please mail me if you are interested so that I can get some numbers to them to see if it is viable. Please indicate your email address and how many you would like.
regards,
Notblonde
I'll be interested...

I just thought of an idea - what about taking some elephant dung and including it on one side in epoxy resin like this?
What will you call it? "Real African Elephant Bull Sh*t"???

I just wonder if it would be any good to attach to one's keyring so that they could be found if lost around the house. Or any other item for that matter. In my opinion, THAT would be a useful device.
Now there's an "out of the box" thinking of tecnology... But how close do you need to be before the GPS "see" the chirp? If it's only 2-3 meter's, then it's not going to help that much.?

I'll be down in Durban from Sunday morning the 17th, till Wednesday the 20th for Tech Ed.
I'll be staying at a Southern Sun hotel at 63 Snell Parade.
At this point it looks like my morning, is pretty open, as registration only opens at about 15H00.
Are there any good accessible caches around the hotel area?
It looks like "The Old Fort" and "Kingsmead Cricket" is nearby.
Perhaps a local (willing) cachers who could show me around a little?
Haai Anton.
Willem

Thanks to my good old caching buddy, Boerseun, we will be there!!! We'll sleep over close to Ixopo, and attend the event just for the day.
What time will the event start? (for planning on how early we must leave Ixopo)

By the way do anybody have access to the weather conditions to Lesotho. I battle to have the correct forecast.

Ok, planning is under way. We are now 4 cachers in total, sorry Bruce you were about 5 minutes too late. But you have first right if one of the four cachers give it a miss.
We are targeting 14 August 2010. For this proposed event an alternative location must be planned near Himville in case of extreme weather or pass closure or refusal. I am busy resolving this one and then we will try to get the event published. Gerhard
Hi Gerhard.
I'd love to join you guys.
Unfortuanty I also do not have a 4x4 available. I'll check with some friends of mine if they are keen. I'll let you know...
Till later!

Anything interesting happening in the Durban area between 1 - 16 March 2010??
We'll be down there to do some caching in and around Winkel Spruit.
Any trackables that needs to go to the Gauteng region let us know and we can move them along.
Hallo Hunters.
We live down in Toti, but I'm away (to gauteng) on training from 5 - 20 March.
Give me a ring when you down here, then we can get together for a beer before I leave for the bad traffic province...

Just got word back from Empisini.
they have been building a bridge to a bird hide and are still on track for placing the caches (perhaps only 2 now)?
These will be done when the construction is completed.
I've contacted them just after the removed the cache and offered to help with the placement. A lady contacted me and said they will let me know when and would like some help. So I'm waiting to hear from them...
-
Ysbeer will be disapointed... Toti is not even on the map
I guess I'll have to put more caches down there so that Toti can get onto the map!
At least most people have heard of Toti...

We are on the tree...

'n Goue Koue voor ek teruggaan beskawing toe?
