  1. The one about the parking lot will be useful to me. I never gave it a thought and often have a hard time in a large crowded parking lot. An Irish Toast: "May you be in heaven a half hour before the Devil knows you're dead"
  2. I submitted a bug report to Garmin which kind of leads into the mysterious power off thing. I have had the following happen 2 times. When in heavey tree cover the legend would lose all satellite locks. The birds would dissapear from the satellite screen. The legend would not reaquire the birds. I had to use the click stick to "use with GPS off" and then click "use with GPS on". This would reset the satellite page and reaquire the satelites. This basically locked the system up until I did these actions. Perhaps this could cause an internal timeout which would shut the system down? Anyway I thought I would pass this on. 3. For the life of me I cannot figure out why a person would steal a couple of happy meal toys, or whatever may be in a cache? It seems so childish to me. However, I go to enjoy the outdoors and see new places, even if they are in my own town. It would be of no consequence to me if a cache only contained a pen and logbook. I enjoy logging caches, and I am sure that the hider of the cache enjoys seeing who has found the thing. I would probably miss snooping around the ammo can but I really don't need it. I just enjoy finding the cache Regards Timothius An Irish Toast: "May you be in heaven a half hour before the Devil knows you're dead"

  5. You must place the GPS on "normal" *not* "battery save" and then enable WAAS. If it is in "Battery Save"it will not work. Don't attempt it inside, It probably won't work. Lastly, Don't expect too much. I hope that this helps? An Irish Toast: "May you be in heaven a half hour before the Devil knows you're dead"
  6. Could someone please explain how and in what way I would possibly want to use the "Project Waypoint" option that my Etrex Legend offers. I just can't seem to understand it, or why anyone would use it. FWTW I am not known for my creativity, perhaps that is why I can't figure it out??? 7. There are issues with logging the travel bugs. I have placed a message myself about it, and several others have too. I certainly hope that it gets resolved. I had the same problems as in the initial post. An Irish Toast: "May you be in heaven a half hour before the Devil knows you're dead"
  8. I recently located a cache and left an item from my stuff. At the bottom of the log page it asks if I was leaving a travel bug, or a traveler, or an item that I created from my stuff. Well I did leave an item so I checked the item and it said that I left a travel bug there. Which I didn't! I would like to see that ability to correct mistakes. Now there is a cache out there which says that there is a travel bug in it when there isn't. The Travel bug is looking like it is a bigger hassle than it is worth. Sorry, but that's my opinion. 10. I made a mistake too and had the same problems. It says that I have the bug and I don't I left it there. I would be nice to be able to compensate for ones own stupidity. There shoukld be a correction page. An Irish Toast: "May you be in heaven a half hour before the Devil knows you're dead"
