I found a cache called "Bella's Box" a few months ago which doesn't seem to be listed anywhere. I had just found one called "Solly's Box" which leads me to think it might have been hidden by the same cachers. Quite a few others have found it too.

Hm... I am going to go with KLM. Although it has merged ownership as KLM-AirFrance, if you get on a KLM aircraft you get on a KLM flight, not a KLM-AirFrance one. Mr F. think's KLM is older than Qantas but stopped during the war.
Ding!
7th October 1919 - Operations stopped during World War II apart from the operations in the Dutch Antilles in the Caribbean. Merged with Air France in 2004. Currently the oldest existing airline.
More controversy, I see it coming.....

Many thanks for the correction Tim, but my

Oooh, err! Controversy.
Probably right,I would think the last thing on your mind when half the population of the town is dropping dead around you is "What did I do with that bucket of red paint?"
Still on with the show....
Which is the oldest airline in the world still flying under its original name?

Considering my blushing mis-reading boo boo that is very generous John.
Asked during the Friday Quiz at "The Comrades" in Sunninghill in June last year:-
During the Great Plague, what was painted on the front doors of plague-ridden houses?
Red cross?

Might be worth trying the suggestion in the 3rd post on the above thread to connect to the PC and see if that gets you any further.

Googled it. Would never have guessed.
Ditto. Looks like a cross between a crumpet and a poppadum!

Barm brack, the fruity Irish tea bread sometimes containing wrapped charms, is traditionally baked for which 'festival'/ 'holiday'?
Easter? (he guessed)

Zanzibar?
Some of my cousins were born in Tanganyika, or spent early childhood there. :-)

DING!
That was quick! The names are all tautologies (i.e. both parts mean the same thing).
Over to The Patrician...
I have to be quick when I find one where I know the answer! I haven't had a clue on some of the latest ones on here.
With which other country did Tanganyika merge to form present day Tanzania in 1964?

Many thanks, although I'm not sure it's really deserved as I thought he was murdered rather than sentenced to death! OK, on to the next question:
What do the River Tyne, River Avon, and the Sahara Desert have in common?
I know the River Avon means the River River.....
I'm pretty sure I've heard that the River Tyne means River River......
So I'm guessing that Sahara Desert means Desert Desert? (or Sahara Sahara!)

I'm a fan of coal posts, and I know a lot of other cachers are too. I was surprised today to bump into one - I saw it, thought "That looks just like a coal post", and when I looked at it, sure enough, it was. What surprised me, is that there's no cache associated with it. So, an opportunity for someone near here.

Arrrr, that would be a Lunnun thing which explains why I've never heard of un....

Whether you choose one or the other isn't really the issue, and I don't ultimately mind too much if it can only work on Firefox and Chrome as it's very much a "nice to have". But as the script already exists it's a shame if it won't run on all three of the most popular browsers.
Unhappy Humphrey?

Thanks for the pointer. I tried Trixie, as IE7Pro seems to relate to an ancient version of IE (I'm using 9). It installed fine and could be enabled but seems to do nothing. On the Geocaching script page http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/109145 there seems to be a couple of big "Download" buttons which are frauds, but I used the "Install" and it caused an error. I was hoping that Trixie would pick the script up somehow.
I know I could use Firefox but I only use that occasionally and I want to see if I can use an IE equivalent.
I had a go at installing Trixie and trying it with the scripts. If you install with:
"To install a new script, download the script into the Scripts directory under the Trixie installation folder. By default, this is at Program Files\Bhelpuri\Trixie\Scripts. Then, go to the Tools menu and select "Trixie Options" (Alt-T, X). This will show the Trixie Options dialog where you can click on the "Reload Scripts" button and select Ok. This will load your new script and enable it. Note that unlike Greasemonkey where the metadata section is optional, Trixie requires a metadata section in the script."
The script appears to install ok. What it doesn't appear to do, on my system at least, is work. Still, worth a try.

Nope.

What were 'Fat Man' and 'Little Boy'?

Any chance of someone posting instructions for installing these scripts on IE8? That would be most useful for those who don't normally use Firefox.
I don't think Greasemonkey will run on IE.
However you might get a result by trying 'Trixie' or 'IE7Pro'.

When I saw Pharisee's original answer (now edited out) I had a pretty good idea what the answer must be. I merely confirmed it with the calculator.
Personally I can hardly stand the suspense. When's Natty coming back?

"Rule 1 - No googling!"
so technically it doesn't appear to be forbidden, but I think it's the question poser who will probably have the final say!
That's what I thought!

Not enough digits on my calculator !!
I used Windows calculator in scientific mode, there are enough on that!
Have I just blown my chance of a 'ding' by revealing that I didn't work it out in my head?

I usually use a pencil on anything other than a FTF. You don't want some unscrupulous swine coming along behind you with a rubber and pen.

Sir you are a marvel!
All of the above work for me on Firefox 10.0.1 and Greasemonkey 0.9.17
Thanks very much but you didn't really have to stay up all night you know
+1
I now have OS maps, Google maps and satellite showing thanks to "Map Enhancement" and "Map Widget", I think that's better than before. And all within about 24 hours of GS borking the system!

FTF A Non-Existent Cache?
in United Kingdom and Ireland
Posted · Edited by The Patrician
Thanks for that. I thought I searched for archived caches at the time. I obviously didn't make a very good job of it.
It looks as though it was originally down by the river, it's way up on the hillside now and some distance from its original position.
