  3. quote:Originally posted by Gliderguy:One disclaimer about new Nimh or NiCd batteries, it takes two or three charge/discharge cycles before they develop their full rated capacity. Don't be discouraged if you buy a new set of 1700 or 1800 mAh batteries and find they initially dont last as long as a broken in 1400 or 1500 mAh batteries. That will change about the 3rd time you recharge them. Ok, I understand what you said about the alkalines but what is this number mAH? What is the difference between Nimh and NiCd?
  4. You might try the boy scout handbook.
  5. I just bought the Rayovac 3 in 1 battery charger and thier Rechargable alkaline batteries. The charger says it can recharge NiMH, NiCd, and Rechargable Alkalines. I went with the Alkalines because the booklet with the charger said it was the best choice and the alkaline don't develop a memory. Dunno, What kind of experiences have you guys had? I don't think I have ever heard anyone else talk about the rechargable alkalines before.
  6. I think it's funny how people will do anything to get a rise out of someone. First of all boblog has never even found a cache. and second he claims to be a volunteer fireman? OK, and he says it's ok to put prescription meds in a cache, and claims it to be ok cause it has been prescribed to someone. Well I know for a fact that here in Oklahoma it is a Felony to use prescription drugs that do not have your name on the bottle. And last but not least I can't believe that I spent this much time responding to someone that obviously is not serious.
  7. Man that is a great presentation! Now I have another way to explain to the skceptics in my family just what I am doing wandering around the woods with my gps UNIT out.

  9. I'll say it's a find, Great job! Did you hear from the owner yet.

I presume you can do the same upgrade with Garmin. There always has to be a better deal, just like there always has to be someone to poin out those deals.
  11. I can't say that I disagree with the idea to sell pre-made caches. I think I would be more likely to buy one if it were sold by geocaching.com and mabye included a travel bug as well. dunno just an idea.
  12. quote:Originally posted by Scabbers: I just got off the phone with tvnav.com about this issue. It seems they sold out of Garmin GPS V Deluxe units yesterday (8-Jul). Their price was $415 + $10 S&H. They still have the orig. GPS V in stock. Price would be $360 + $10 S&H. If you buy now, you can upgrade to the new software for $50 with all-unlock. So for $420 delivered you have an identical package to the GPS V Deluxe. After seening this post yesterday I immediatly called tvnav.com and ordered the regular gps v. What a deal. I recently tried to buy one on E-bay and to make a long story short this is a better deal all around. Would suggest this site to anyone. I spoke to Glenda over the phone and she was very helpful. I dunno how many they got left though, she acted like only a few.

  17. Well I spoke to the bank a few weeks ago and they advised me that a cashiers check cannot be cancled untill the 91st day. Are there exceptions to this?

  19. It could be that a non-cacher found your cache and took the documents. Probably not but could be. If not I would never take something without exchanging for something else and if I did take something I would post it.

If I'm right (and I'm pretty sure I am) The 1st 3 complaints are from the same buyer. I noticed he posted his complaints just 2 weeks after the end of the auctions. Like I mentioned in my previous post, 2 weeks is kinda jumping the gun. There was a reply from the seller, claiming he had in fact been in contact with the seller. Not sure what the outcome is, but I would email that buyer to see how he made out. That most certianly is the same guy. I just notice the last few comments from bidders. I appriceate everyone's help and feedback on this. I am in the rocess of E-mailing the people who left the negative feedback. I will keep you guys updated if you are interested. Thanks
