Just too much traffic...that's the problem with those free sites.

if it's a lot owned by a store or whatever, I would have thought it to be private.

I recently got a flood of email from one of my geocoins as it was passed around an event. I don't see the point in this, just log the one's that are traded.

Klaus if the .aiff doesn't work, i'll host the wav for you. Both the .aiff and .wav are 1.5MB, so don't forget it won't start to play until it has fully downloaded into the users browser. I know it's not as nice as the .wav but I think you'd be better using a midi...it's only 18KB, and loads instantly. I have both files up on my server so see what suits you best. All you need to do is copy the html below and paste it into the short or log description box. The loop=1 means it will only play once, it can be stoped anyway by hitting the esc key. Hope this helps. <bgsound src="http://www.mccartan.org/klaus/fools.wav" loop="1"> <bgsound src="http://www.mccartan.org/klaus/fools.mid" loop="1">

have a look here, but be warned some don't like background audio unless there's an on/off switch for it. Also have a read of this too

Help Please - Tb Logged In Wrong Cache
Donnacha replied to Laughalot's topic in United Kingdom and Ireland
there should be no problem retrieving it if you have the tag number, and post a note on the correct cache page to drop it back in. -
Well done to klaus23 for making the 200 mark.

Claiming Virtuals Prior To Joining !
Donnacha replied to kph100's topic in United Kingdom and Ireland
It might be just the cacher wanted to see what the game was all about before creating an account. I didn't have a GC.com account when I found my first two, but after discovering I liked the game, I created an account the same day. -

I wonder how long you get out of that lithium-ion battery. I also see it has "14 parallel channels". -

Traveling By Aerlingus This Christmas...
Donnacha replied to Donnacha's topic in United Kingdom and Ireland
Did you never get asked "Excuse me, what's that stuck to the window"? That's what I was always afraid of, so I never bothered, until I saw the new rules. -
You can now use a GPS on flights with AerLingus I discovered on my recent travels to NYC....funny I had to have my GPS and external aerial in my carry on bag!
-
I guess I'd be a 1...although lately i've been a bit more "chatty". Prob cause I'm stuck at home for the past few weeks.

Egnos Reception: Garmin Vs. Magellan?
Donnacha replied to Highnoon25's topic in United Kingdom and Ireland
Cheers..... but Oh dear..... Anyone know if you can downgrade the software version on a Garmin GPSr? Yes you can, but be careful, you'll loose all settings and stored waypoints. -
GPS in phones is happening already, Garmin NavTalk GSM. I was at an event recently and a cacher had the navTalk.

Very true. We have an amazing amount of unsafe drivers over here.

Have a great time...I wish I could head off GC. I'm still recovering from surgery and can do nothing!

Owners Log Cache As Find
Donnacha replied to Katydid & Miles Stone's topic in General geocaching topics
It may be that the cache owners are new to GC and are still learning. Alot of newbies seem to do that. -
This woman was lucky to get off the mountain alive.....no gear....no food...wearing jeans...no map. I have to admit, when I first heard the story I thought the worst, but it was great she was found well.
