  1. In mapsource, right click on the waypoint and hit the waypoint properties button. Uncheck the "Unknown" box in the Proximity Line. Add 0.1 as the proximity and you will have a nice red 528 circle around the cache!
  2. If you delete your old finds first, (in GSAK I assume), you shouldn't get anything but your current finds. If you're just overwriting, it will add the new log and still have your old one there. GSAK has no way of knowing you deleted the log.
  3. I know in at least one park, he does an 'every so often' sweep of all the sites that he knows about. If he finds stuff there without permission, he goes and picks them up. Most of the letterboxing sites don't have any good way to contact the owners. He's happy to have them as long as they're willing to fill out the paperwork.
  4. You're wrong so you got your wish. You can have multiple stages >2 miles on any cache. What you're thinking of is that the fake coords for a mystery cache shouldn't be more than 2 miles unless there's a good reason.
  5. I've done many multis where you drive between the stages. Sometimes I don't get them done for a long time as I have many caches to do in between the stages. I would suggest, it you can do it w/o giving anything away, telling people how long the drive is total (routed mileage) and which direction so they can sort of plan if they want to do it in one day.
  6. You have received a response. As the cache in question is not a traditional cache, it may appear to be further than it is. Go do the cache in question and then you'll know where to move your cache to.
  7. I had to look it up on a dictionary site to get the spelling right myself.
  8. Huh? I thought the folks that were working on the pole did this, not gooseman99. His log said "went to coordinates. location is gone and note was left where cache was moved to." Maybe... that's not how I read it but I guess it could be read that way...
  9. Um, why are we being happy over someone graffitiing something that is not his? I'd already penned (not sent) a letter to the cacher who did this but it's a black eye to the hobby and shouldn't be taken with such an' its ok because it's funny' attitude.
  10. And these 11 caches might be the exact number of caches I'm missing...
  11. Well, I see one issue... I have 11 caches under the "Uncalculated Caches" that have bad link... example: RHG 15k 1800 It should be: RHG 15k 1800
  12. What about if the local cacher and cache is still active on a different site? Are we supposed to check all those other sites to make sure that they aren't listed there? If cachers want to trash out archived caches, that is their choice. We don't support this activity.
  13. I usually just copy that days "my" page into an e-mail with the date. That includes all the stuff they need including links to the cache pages. Doesn't get much simpler than that.
  14. I see this one a lot but no where near 50% of the time
  15. Ice Cream?!? I only got juice (but it was good!)
  16. It's not just you... I sent this to bugs a while ago. If I make a new route, it will do what it is supposed to. If I try to edit a route I already have, it doesn't work. That's the work around I use.
  17. I've done a bunch of caches after someone who leaves water bottles attached to the caches he's found. I've found a number of them emptied but still tied to the container. Some froze and cracked, others were chewed. Plus his method means caches are harder to hide and a number of times I've found his water bottle which led me to the well hidden cache.
  18. I'm with you on the Spinner/Sunrise. It's great, the data (IMHO) is much easier to get to, especially the 'closest' feature on the bottom of the page. For what it's worth, Plucker kept crashing which is why I switched to Sunrise. I've not had an issue with that since. I recommend it and it's free!
  19. I subscribe to this theory... and the second part isn't as important as the first!
  20. Seeing that also still. As for your work around, I found if (on firefox), I middle click, opening in a new page, I can do a bunch at once, reload that page and do more rather than waiting for it to reload each time.
  21. I'm fairly sure (and by fairly, I mean 100% sure) that you're wrong and that e-mails get sent to us when "Needs Archived" logs go through. I do agree 100% with this though!
  22. I hope all have a great holiday season with their friends and family. (It would be nice to find some caches too!)
