  1. The short answer is no. Step up to the the HC. The HC supports maps(free maps : ) and comes with a USB cable. Unless you get a screaming deal on the H.

well the deal is its brand new in a box 35 quid they bought it and could not get their heads round the manual.

    so it`s a no then

    thanks

  2. I'm hoping to be able to come for the day on Saturday if that's alright...

BUT where is the event? I know it's not going to be right in the middle of Bakewell! :-)

    Bob

I'm hoping its here, otherwise I'll be camping on my own :ninja:

No you won't as we'll be there tomorrow :D

so shall we but not for the caching hrm maybe we shall join in that aswell..

  3.

Aspidshop are terrific (no, I don't have shares). They don't always have everything in stock - with the 60csx that's a lottery eveyrwhere  - but their e-mail support during the ordering process is excellent.

anyone notice the price and tax ? £306.44 ( £370.79 with 21.00% tax )<< unless vat gone up from 17.5% to 21%

or am I missing something here 21%?

  4. we allready have a in car satnav its the garmin sp i3 with nt+ v8 map, we using that for caching at mo, so we need a simple one which allows manual and pc input of poi`s, so what you saying it it dont need a map base, as we allready got a satnav with it so the garmin gps60 is very suitable but the gpsmap60 and 60c is better has more bells but over kill for the game yes! so we go withthe garmin gps 60 in yellow.

    thanks..

  5. We are looking for a hand held unit, narrowed it down too the garmin gps 60 or gpsmap 60 with base map.

now do we need a unit with base map to locate caches? as using our car one is just that for roads and noway of inputting waypoints no way of putting in goto coords either, what we need is somat like them with a geocaching mode made simple for our son.

    so please advised us.

    thank you

  6. I have just remembered. If you get the geocache POIs for Tomtom from Geocacheuk.com you could

convert the files to go into the Navman.

My mate has a Navman and he wanted the Safety speed cameras that were for Tomtom.

but the file names were not compatable. He was able to change them to the Navman format.

Rename them from .ov2 to whatever navman .??? and .bmp to navman .???

    Hope this helps.

P.S. You can geocache with a Tomtom.

you can use poi edit to convert any format to any ext your unit uses.
