[Lowrance / Lei Mapcreate Tips]

I just bought the IFinder Hunt C plus and followed the directions for using the MMC card but the system will not let me register the card. I get the following error message.

 

Number: 429 Source: MapCreate Module: frmCardRegistry Procedure: btnRegister_Click() Last Dll Error: 0 Description: ActiveX component can't create object Message:

 

I have called the Lowrance help line but just get left on hold.

 

Any help would be appreciated.

Since there seems to be a growing Lowrance group here (and because the MapCreate software is sometimes a bit buggy), I thought I'd start a specific thread on it. I hope it will stay focused on tips and troubleshooting for Lowrance/LEI MapCreate products.

 

I'll start with a few things I have learned (even though they've been posted elsewhere) to collect them into this thread.
