  1. Yeah - every time I see dhenning, I expect the avatar to be this:
  2. I like that idea better. I'm more likely to go for a special cache on my anniversary than on my birthday (when I would probably have my family with me and go for a family-friendly cache).
  3. My left knee started hurting on the downside of the Hudson Highlands jaunt. It ached for a few days and started hurting again on Saturday at the Geo Jamboree. These old bones, they ain't what they used to be. Let me know if the boots or poles help.
  4. http://www.wheresgeorge.com/rules.php All Where's George? users must agree to and abide by these guidelines.. Any user violating these rules can have their account suspended or terminated without warning. Please read and understand these rules before using the site. They are written in plain english, so go ahead and take a minute to read them over. #1 Natural Circulation The purpose of Where's George? is to track the natural and geographic circulation of currency. This means that any bills you enter should be spent by you in the normal course of everyday life. Giving bills to friends, relatives and/or associates for the purpose of re-entry into the website violates the whole premise of Where's George?. After you enter any bills, just enter them into natural circulation by spending them as you would any other bills. Sending bills via U.S mail or any transportation methods to people in other locales does not constitute natural and geographic circulation. In general, the Where's George? definition of natural and geographic circulation is spending your cash in the course of any normal transaction with any unknown person/entity.
  5. Sorry to hear about the accident. Get well soon and get back out there!
  6. There IS a rule, but it only applies if the events are within 500 feet of eachother.
  7. Phew! I didn't even know I was in danger!
  8. It's not only the venom I fear. It's the snake.
  9. Were in!!! I can be there by 5:30.
  10. I prefer Mac to PC, but when it comes to GPS software, there are more options for the PC, so I do most of my caching-related stuff with the PC instead. Check out USAPhotoMaps for the PC. It does (basically) the same thing as TerraBrowser and works well with the Rino.
  11. Anybody want to buy a GPSr, pair of boots, backpack, compass and all my other caching stuff? I had a hard enough time walking alone in the woods just knowing there was a small possibility of seeing a snake. Now that you've posted a dozen different snake found in all the places I hike, I'm done. I would crawl under my bed and hide, but after looking at those photos, I'm never looking under my bed again. I'd climb a tree, but BeachBuddies spoiled that one too. I guess I've gone one choice: move to Ireland.
  12. The event date is June 9th, but the description says June 2nd. You trying to get me to log a DNF on an event cache?
  13. There's a (temporarily disabled) cache here that's practically on Rosie O'Donald's driveway. Does that count for anything?
  14. I'll leave the cachemobile at home.
  15. I'm leading a charity bike ride past Harriman park on the 25th, but I would join you on the 24th.
  16. I don't know what step it is, but if you're still reading this thread, you should be ready to admit you have a problem.
  17. I'd pay a few bucks extra for that feature.
  18. 600? Wow! That's quite an accomplishment. Congrats. I really enjoyed caching with you in the Hudson Highlands.
  19. If you pick another date, keep in mind that the following Sunday (May 9) is Mother's Day.
  20. Way to go, Banned_user - I mean Hart. Two hundred more and you'll be beyond newbie status.
  21. Thankfully, "old school" hikers don't share that "sacred spot" philosophy. If cachers like jonboy and briansnat chose to keep their favorite lookout spots private instead of placing caches near them, the rest of us would be missing out on some spectacular views and hikes!
