  1. I voted a while back, but when we got the reminder, I got OrangeDanish and Lil One to vote, too.
  2. We found some travel trash bags (made by Hefty, I think) that come in a small self-despensing package. The bags hold one gallon and are perfect for caches! All we have to do is print our personalized geocaching sticker and attach it to both sides of the package.
  3. Ok, THIS is very helpful software! Thanks, WF!!
  4. I vote for NOTE as well. Since you didn't sign the logbook, it's not a "find", but since you held it in your hand (presumeably), it's not a "couldn't find".
  5. Boy, it's great to see all the new folks coming aboard! I was just finding out about geocaching about this time last year. Welcome aboard!
  6. Of the last 5 marks we've found, ALL have been marked by either orange tape, orange spray paint on the road, or something else. It all appears to have been done recently, too. Oh well. In one way, I'm thankful for the help, but in another way, I'm sad that I missed out on a challenging hunt! Oh well... I love 'em all!
  7. There is someone around our area that leaves a stamped penny. We had found one in a previous cache, but didn't consider taking it. When this person visited our cache, they left a log that indicated that it was their sig item. If we had known that this was a signature item earlier, we'd have been more inclined to trade. Reading this thread has made me decide to change our signature items to be labled as such. (BTW, one of our sig item is a dice game, with dice and printed rules inside a ziplock bag.)
  8. We got our Legend from Amazon.com, as well. After rebate, it came to $149. We're very happy with it so far! (although now we're looking for a car mount, a cigarette lighter adapter, a case, etc., etc., etc......)
  9. Just got the reply from Mr. Butts. Here it is: "Due to the legislative session that just ended, along with the special session that starts next week, the Administrative Rules Subcommittee of the legislature has not met this year (typically they meet every month, except during legislative sessions; note: we sent information to them last year after our public meeting on the subject with our commission). I had hoped they would meet this month, but it has been postponed. Hopefully they’ll meet next month, we’ll be able to complete the review process and then get word out to the public. Check back with us on June 15th."
  10. quote:Originally posted by BrianSnat:it seems people make virtuals out of every roadside marker, no matter how uninteresting. Agreed, but our area is starving for caches, so I've learned that "Any cache is a good cache!" It's all about the hunt for us anyways...
  11. Bump. When I talked to Sandy Burch shortly after the big meeting in LR, she told me that the directive still had to get some final signatures and after that, the information would have to be distributed to the parks. At that time, she seemed to think that it would only be a matter of weeks. Haven't heard anything since. I've got a letter in to the ASP director, Greg Butts, and I'll post any information here as soon as I hear something...

Anyone have a copy of this?
  13. GPS Shopping??? It'll get you within 10-30 feet of the Ruffles!

  15. Yes, I have. I've noticed that with my benchmark logs, too.
  16. In the subject line, I'm getting "[TBUG] was placed in". That's it. No name of the bug or name of the cache. I have to click on the link to see which travel bug it is and where it was placed. Also, I'm getting two notifications for each bug. Any ideas? Is this a common problem?
  17. I saw your other post, too, but can't find it now. (?) Anyways, someone had responded to your other message and suggested that you check to see if you have any ad-blocking or popup-blocking software installed. That could cause the message window to not display...
  18. I like the tone of your letter of request. Very informative and simple. Would you mind if we modify it and use it for our own benchmarking property-access requests?
  19. Warm Fuzzies - Fuzzy, luv your new sig line! We're big fans of the VT...

    Here, here! I'll second that!
  22. Thanks! Boy, the case for becoming a premium member is getting better and better...
  23. So far, I haven't been able to get this feature to work for me. I'd like to get the daily email for updates. Under "My Space" -> "Notifications", it shows that I have the forums set up to be deliverd, but under "Delivery", the icon is the one used for "My Space" and it won't change. Am I doing something wrong, or is this feature still not working?
  24. I'm with DesertWarrior, I like 'em all. We are kinda "cache-poor" around here, so ANY cache is a good cache!!
