The only cache I see in the Nature Nook is Super_Nate's cache, "Where It All Began". That cache should be a small lock-n-lock, unless it's changed. There are cachers in the area that like to put smiley faces in their containers, I think it's 3-happy-campers.

I definitely did not think about the favorites number being off for that reason, interesting! How do you do a search that includes how old a cache is compared to others? I'd like to know how mine stack up in Texas. Mac You can do a search for caches by date. Use the filters and go to "placed date", then use the drop down menu and choose "between". You can put in the older dates there. That's the best I can think of for now.

I looked over the info for all the caches that own/co-own. As of today, we have 14 active caches that are 20 years old or older. One of the trads is a cache I adopted, and is one of the top 10 oldest caches in Washington state. 9 virtuals 4 traditionals 1 multi A total of 14,731 finds. A total of 1,451 favorites. The favorites number isn't going to be as accurate, because people didn't have the favorites feature 20 years ago, and not many people go back and reward favorite points years later.

The Lyin' Cache I have been to a lot of cemeteries, and this is my favorite one. It's so beautiful. Oakland cemetery in Atlanta, Georgia. "The Lion of Atlanta" was patterned after the "Lion of Lucerne" monument, which I've always wanted to see in person. Unfortunately, because the Lion of Atlanta was a statue dedicated to the Confederate soldiers buried in the cemetery, it was horribly defaced last year. The virtual was archived, and the statue has been removed to preserve it from further damage. I'm so glad we got to see it before it was gone.

Tracker's been around for a while, at least since 2011. There's other art with him, but this is the earliest I have.

I'm 24/7. I had problems with some of the questions, however, as some of them didn't apply to me at all.

That's interesting, since geocaches can be placed in National Parks. I had thought that it would be the same way with AL's, that if it's a not for profit fee, that it would be ok. So I'm assuming that means that you can't place an AL in State Parks, either? I'll have to tell my MIL, because she was planning on placing one in a State Park that has a day use fee.

I've been trying to get my husband to make one for several years now. Maybe it will happen someday....not this year, but maybe next year? Just have to push him harder. He wanted to get Bryan and some Lackeys in it, and I said that nepotism probably wouldn't fly if you're trying to submit it for the GIFF.

I am technically handicapped, so I will put in my two cents. I look at words in an odd way, perhaps. Here's my thinking: The word "Handicapped" has a few possible origins, but I like the one that is taken from horse racing, where you put weights on a fast horse to slow them down. To me, this word is actually more positive (you're a fast horse that has to be slowed down), and could mean that you can do lots of things, but that you are eventually "capped" in your abilities. The word "Disabled" feels more negative to me. It sounds more all-encompassing, like you aren't abled at all. One site I looked at said that in the 15th century, it was used to mean, "legally disqualified", and in the 16th century it meant that you were "Incapacitated" (unable to act or respond). So, personally, I'll take handicapped over disabled. Until someone comes up with a better term.

There was a cacher who would post occasionally here in the forums. After a while, there was a new family who moved to our town, and started going to our church. I think it took a few months for us to figure out that the husband in the family was this cacher who posted in the forums sometimes. We had a good chuckle over that.

I've seen the Aurora Borealis several times (in Washington State and Montana). I've been to the Grand Canyon twice. I visited the Great Barrier Reef once.

I thought it would be interesting for people to post about their past visits to the Wonders of the World. Have you ever visited any of the wonders that are listed in the promotion? It's nice to be able to reminisce about travel during a time when traveling is limited. Post a link to a cache that you found at the location, or nearby, if any! I don't cache very often, and there isn't a good enough mix of wonders near me for me to try the unchallenge. I'm going to have to be precise if I want to get all the souvenirs. It's always possible I may travel before the end of the year, but I don't know that now, so I'm making a local plan to try and get them all.

The biggest fake ammo can I've seen was at Geowoodstock. Wow, this pic of Lep, me, and all41 is from 10 years ago. And after looking at this event, I just realized that it's been 10 years since our friend Allanon died (this event was the last time I saw him).

This is true, I've sung this one to my husband a few times while caching. Dramatically.

I mentioned in another thread that I kinda cut my teeth on deep woods caches in a place called Sam Houston National Forest. Hasn't been active since 2016. Most of her caches are archived. Hope she is ok. :-( Wow! That's interesting. Hopefully everything's ok with her.

Yep. We had a cache called "Don't worry, be Happy", and got mail saying we messed with their whole day. Cache titles that give you earworms can drive you crazy. I've placed nine caches where the titles are either the name of a song, a modified version of a song name, or lyrics from a song. I guess I do think about songs while placing caches, for sure. Each of those caches have lyrics from the song posted in the cache description. I think only one person has ever mentioned it in a cache log, however. Mostly, I feel like I'm just singing into the void...

They should work on cougars.

If that song and ropes are involved I hope I never meet you on the trail. This is more my speed: I did have this song in my head for one cache that I did this year, John Denver Sanctuary. A virtual at a lovely memorial to John Denver in Colorado.

The only one that I sing is "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For". I get a lot of DNF's, unfortunately.

The biggest real ammo can I've found is The Rocket Cache. It's near Mission 9: Tunnel of Light. I'm assuming it's for a rocket launcher. Don't know my ammunition. From one of the cache logs:
