  1. I don't know if this been in the forums before, but I thought it was interesting... http://www.google.com/mars/
  2. Congrats to devhead for reaching 1300 finds!!!
  3. Thats some big numbers Congrats and Happy Birthday. Congratulations!! Ditto!!!
  4. Was the trailer full of ammo cans, Loc n Loc's and micro containers? I hope this doesn't mean that your streak is going to be coming to an end. Take care John, you'll be missed by all. I'm not saying goodbye - See you soon John!!!
  5. Patrick, you are just smokin'! Thank you all!!! Just 96 caches left to do in 44 days for me to achieve my 1st year goal of 1200 caches!!!
  6. Old people test: You are old if you know what to do after you say: "Oops I could have a V8!" Wait a minute...I must be getting hold! I thought I was supposed to slap my forehead FIRST, then say "I coud have had a V8!" Whatever! As you get older you also start saying "whatever" a lot more! "Whatever" "Whatever" Did I say that already, whatever. True Story: I went to the grocery store yesterday and bought some alcohol - and I got carded! The "kid" that carded me could *theoretically* be my son!
  7. Ha! Ha! Oh, sorry, I use Tecnu. That seems to have worked pretty well when I got Poison Oak. Tecnu works BEFORE (itch itch) you get it. I need (itch itch) to know (itch itch) what works the best AFTER you get it (itch itch)... A steriod shot... Thanks, my neighbor got it really bad. So I'll tell him to go get a shot. He thinks he got it from petting Richard's dog which after it ran through a bunch of PO. I don't have it that bad to warrant going to the Doctor, so what is the best OTC solution? John fell down out in Hollenbeck and rolled down the bank. Every spot of his body that hit the ground now has fresh patches...his neck ( front and back), wrist, belly, face, forearm. Dr gave him some kind of cream, but it doesn't work. It gets worse every time he gets it now ..or so it seems. My sister in Maryland sent me some stuff called "Ivy Dry" to try. It works fairly well but I can't find it out here and I don't want to bug her to keep sending it to me. Plus she probably would wonder why I keep getting PO. Of course she knows that PO has never stopped me from having some fun. You can order it online http://www.ivydry.com/
  8. Penguins... Reminds me of my kids...
  9. Ain't that sweet - the way Harmon cares about us!!! If you approach it the correct way, the urban jungle is not too bad - unless you went in the wrong way - Harmon's way! John of "jahoadi and john" was even able to make it despite foot surgery a few weeks back! He was keeping up even though he was wearing a sandal(!) and a hiking boot. He had to be careful not to get his foot wet. On top of that, he had lost his GPSr and had to walk halfway back before it was found. John gets my vote for the most dedicated cacher of the year so far!!! So, who's telling it like it is??? - I guess that when people reach a certain age, the stories just get better and better... 'Nuff Said!
  10. Hopefully I will be able to wake up in time to make it. Seems a little early for me. We may try to be there too Coming Harmon?? Wake up Richard We will try too...Kwver If anybody else wants to go - see you there at Noon today! Here are the coords for parking/meeting place: N32°47.623 W117°04.392
  11. We'll probably parachute out of our cargo plane and rendezvous at Skull Mountain within 3 days. If we survive the drop, we have supplies for about 10 days before we have to resort to eating rodents and insects... ...Or, we might just work our way in from the service road. I scouted the area in the summer - it wasn't too bad from that direction - So why didn't I go and grab it? Well, I was wearing shorts and a tanktop... 'nuff said! Just in case we find the full suit of armor out in the garage and decide to join you for this "adventure"..where and what time? Hey Harmon...I'm not a sissy!! r/ jodi How about Noon at Easton Ct - Just outside the church parking lot. This time and place gives even Harmon a chance to come and do it over again - the correct way!!!

  13. I moved this up one day to Monday 1/1 instead - same time if anybody is interested to tag along. Maybe Harmon would like to tag along and guide our brave (doomed) souls?!?!? I realize that some of you might stay up late the night before - and if you want to tag along but don't see yourself out there until 11- Noon'ish, that's OK too!

  15. After reading past postings, you're still planning on leaving around 5:30 am for ETA by Smuggler's Cave around 6:30 am? Is M2 and Miragee staying after 12 noon??? I see 18 caches in the general area but I have no idea if 4WD is required. I'll go with you guys - I'm just trying to figure out some details...
  16. Ya gonna die! My invitation to In Ko Pah is still open for Sunday morning. Is 0500 too early for a polar bear ? M2, Miragee, Ginger! and I have committed. What?? Me?? ...too early??? I'll have you know that I have an inverse relationship between getting out of bed and the number of caches to find. The more caches - the earlier I get up! If it's worthwhile, I can always reschedule Navajo Adventure to the afternoon or on Monday 1/1 So, how many caches are we talking about? Is it a 4WD event all the way? In that case I need to hitch a ride with somebody. Where do we meet at what time?
  17. Anybody up for "Navajo Adventure" (GCW7JM) on Sunday 12/31???? Starttime 9-10'ish in the morning, but I'm flexible.
  18. Congrats to everybody who reached a milestone this Christmas weekend!!! The best Christmas present is the one you give to yourself!!!
  19. Congrats to The Lost Clan for reaching 500 today. Visit log
  20. Merry X-mas to you too. The important thing is not to be politically correct, what's important is that you know what you are celebrating (X-mas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Festivus etc.). Believe it or not, most people are willing to respect that. I celebrate X-mas!
  21. Lucky Kid & Proud Parents and k6ql are also represented. Linda Carruthers is "The Lost Clan"
  22. Thanks! I told my 5 yo stepdaughter Natalia that I had found 1000 caches and she said "so how many does Polar Bear have?" Funny! (I guess she must have heard me talking about how many caches Patrick had compared to mine, a few times....) That's just too funny!!! Kids say the darndest things! Just a little healthy(?) competition I guess. We started caching around the same time, and as I recall it - you passed me - I passed you - you passed me - I passed you, and I'm *temporarily* ahead now. Not that numbers matter(?!?), but you sure spurred me on to get to 1000 fast. Anyhoo, welcome to the K club!!!
  23. Caching is my social life... Lucky you to have an understanding significant other...
  24. "Tis' the season..." Raise your hand if your social calendar is full and prevents you from caching. You do have a social life, don't you...
  25. Huh! Who are they??? Never heard of any of the artists before... or maybe I just forgot who they are!
