Well I just emailed them again, guess I sent it to the wrong department last time. Got a response in like 10 min. Said my order has been shipped and gave me a tracking # .
On a side note, looking around their website it seems that they raised the price back up to $449.99 for the 60Cx, while the 60CSx is on sale for $412.99.

Have you heard about when www.lakepowellmarhineelectronics.com will be shipping? I ordered a 60Cx through them and haven't heard anything. I emailed them asking about my order status and got no reply back.

The 18 ships with CS version 6 (at least that is the report of recent recipients). You can then go online to Garmin and get them to upgrade it to CS version 7 for free. The 18 is a hockey-puck shaped dongle that attaches to a laptop. The laptop screen serves as your GPSr screen. If comes with either a USB or serial connection. The serial connection requires that you plug it in to a cigarette adaptor, while the USB draws power through the USB cable.
The 18 uses one of the two unlock codes for City Select, so you can load the maps to one other GPS unit.
So getting the GPS18 sounds like my best option. The 18 with software looks about the same price as just the software by itself. And I wanted to be able to use my GPS with my laptop anyways, this would save me from having to buy some cables for the 60Cx.
So what's the cheapest place to buy from? I think Amazon had it for 114.99. Any place cheaper?

So the only difference between CS and CN is the map tile size?
So where would be the best place to order from? Looking around I noticed that the Garmin GPS 18 comes with CS for about the same price as the software on it's own. Although no place mentioned what the version # was, and it said it comes fully unlocked. Does that mean that I won't get the unlock code that I would need to use it with the 60Cx? And if it comes with V6 could I still get the free upgrade to V7?
Just trying to figure out my best/cheapests option.

Like the title says I just ordered a Garmin 60Cx (my first GPS). I plan to use it for a bunch of things, but primarily for geocaching, and automobile use.
What I would like to know is which software package do I need to my street maps? I've seen people talking about City Select and City Navigator. What's the difference between the 2? I've seen people say not to get CN for the 60C, but the Garmin website recommends it for the 60Cx. I thought they were almost the same unit except the Sirf chip and the memory cards.
So can someone help clear some of this up for a GPS newbie. Which of these do I need? Are there any other peices of software I should also look into? And where is the best/cheapest places to get it from. After spending all the $$ on the new GPS I dont' want to be breaking the bank on the software if I don't have to.
Thanks!

I've had several different types of dogs, and by far my favorite was a corgi. If I end up getting another dog I'm 95% sure it will be another corgi.
