It is $199 right now but the main reason it is so cheap from the MSRP is it is a discontinued item, it has been replased with the Garmin 62s. There is nothing wrong with the 60CSX and that is a good price (especially if you can get it for $169)

What operating system are you using? There are some updates available for downloads. http://support.magellangps.com/support/index.php?_m=knowledgebase&_a=viewarticle&kbarticleid=42&nav=0,2,9,42

Are the local parks overloaded with caches already? how about unique structures (like buildings, covered bridges, ect) maybe a cave. just think about the ones you have found and look for similar places. I would be glad to help you if I was closer but it is a bit far, maybe another more local cacher will offer to help.

You may want to send it back to garmin to have them fix it, their repair rates are not all that bad. http://www8.garmin.com/support/outofwarranty.html
-
Try these, they are free http://www.gpsfiledepot.com/maps/country/ca

First, did you speak to the geocacher and ask him to leave some open areas? Does he do well in keeping up with the cache maintenance?

I have had my 450 for several months and I love it, the only problem I have with it is it is much harder on batteries, I use twice as many batteries as before and a set will not last all day.
-
Look on Ebay, you can find them for around $10 or so, or you can order one from Garmin for about $35.

local army surplus has .30 for $5 to $7 each .50cal $8 to $10 less if you buy several online it is the shipping which costs so much

Did you hook it to computer and use explorer to look at the contents? On mine there is a file called "backup" don't know if that helps or not. -
Looking for cheap Oregon 450

Looks like you should have jumped on that deal while it was still available. Wait until "black friday" there will be some better deals then maybe. -
QUOTE(Atwell Family @ Aug 23 2010, 11:03 AM) * Or best offer??? zapfrog stated: I seriously would if I had the money sad.gif I love my iPhone but the signal is weak and cuts out while hiking so this will be my next purchase. If you still have it in a month I will buy it fr 200, sorry it can't be sooner. Here you stated you couldn't buy it for a month, why would you think the seller should keep it for you when he had another buyer interested?
-
We really don't KNOW how this deal went (and really none of our business) maybe the seller sent both potential buyers an invoice, and first to respond got the deal. OR maybe he sent the other potential buyer the offer first, then when they got no payment they then offered it to this seller, but before this seller sent money the other buyer did. My advice, when offered a deal take it fast or don't complain if deal is retracted . You snooze, you lose and you wasn't ripped off by anyone, you are just being a sore loser and it is your fault you lost out on the deal, you said you got the invoice, why didn't you send payment right then?
-
In this case I have to side with the seller, he sent you an invoice and looks like he also sent one to another buyer, the other buyer accepted the offer and paid for it first and you lost the option to buy it. If you was in Wally World and there was one item for sale and two of you were standing there looking at it then the other person picked it up and paid fpr it, and you would still say, "hey I was still thinking, no fair" There is a simple saying that rings true here, "You snooze, you lose"

There is nobody here you can contact on a poor seller, only option you have is to post the information to maybe prevent someone else getting the same treatment.

mine has bundle which includes Topo 2008 and carrying case for $219.99 was $449.99 02552956 -
You need to contact Magellan or the company who you made your purchase from. They should give you the detailed instructions to get the 30 day trial membership. OR you can go to the homepage of geocaching.com and get the full membership without wasting time with the trial.

And that is "your" opinion which is your right to post, others have posted their opinions as well. All I can say about it is " Who gives a rats behind" Oh and it is "embarrassing", use spell check please :>)

WTB: Garmin 60CSx -- Need Tips for Hot Sales
rayt333 replied to miPod's topic in GPS technology and devices
I just bought one & it cost me 299....it's for sale a few posts down, but I can't touch those prices, nor do I think you'll find a new (non-refurbished) one for that kind of money now. It makes me wonder if Cabelas had refurbished units they were selling here's mine for sale Cabela had NEW ones and has them again on sale for $199.95 8/19 to 8/25 -
If you didn't get this back by now then it is likely history. BUT you can buy a new one at Cabela's right now for $199.95 on sale.

Couple of things to try, try a different USB port just to see if explorer can see it as a storage device. Try a different cord, I have one that works sometimes and sometimes it doesn't work at all. Also try it on a different computer.
