  1. Since there were not too many designs , it would be fun having all of them. Count us in!
  2. You know you're a geocoin addict when you have: --- many binders full of them --- some of your favorite coins on a wooden display on the bookcase --- different containers depending if you have to list them on gccollection, get the activation code, take a picture to send on ¨What was in your mailbox¨, etc... --- coins near the computer so you can write to a trader to let him know you received your coin --- a large container full of coins waiting to be placed in additional binders you ordered recently, just to find out that you didn't order enough of them --- loose coins on your scrapbooking table --- suncatcher coins hanging in the kitchen windows --- coins received in the morning left on the kitchen table to show the husband what he is working for --- Christmas coins hanging in the Christmas tree --- a coin hanging on you dog's collar --- a few sketches of your future personal coins --- explained to the mailman what was in all those bubble mailers he has been delivering you for months, maybe years --- been writing a post about coins at 1 o'clock in the morning Don't go on thinking I'm addicted.... Well, maybe just a little bit I can quit anytime but, not today
  3. Congratulations to all the latest cachers bitten by the Bug. I'm surprised to see that the Bug is still around in winter. That's a tough one
  4. Thanks error for adding the picture. I'm not that smart yet, I'm still learning I really like the drawing of the dog, it's simple but very nice done.
  5. I'll be participating but not very soon, my birthday is December 28th Can somebody beat that? I'll have to wait all year long but it will be fun looking at all those receiving their birthday mission
  6. Sure, I read it in your first post. Everything related to dogs is my favorite subject I really love them, I have two right now and I enjoy them very much Did you have a look at the coin I was referring to?
  7. Sorry to hear about the loss of your good buddy Henry I got a coin recently from Scincus and there is a drawing of the face of his own black lab on one side. You can see its post if you go back four pages on this thread. He lives in The Netherlands, he traded me one but he also sells them. Take care!
  8. They all look great My favorite one would be the Satin Nickel Hard Enamel (it really looks cool meaning cold) followed by the Nickel Soft Enamel. The Ant Nickel Hard Enamel is nice too. There is something special with the Gold one but I would not choose that one. Finally I prefer the nickel finishes for that coin. You will have a hard time choosing them but, having the samples in hand will be very helpful. You'll have a better opinion then Congratulations on your coin, I really like it! By the way, we just had our first snow storm, 12 inches of white stuff. We may began skiing very soon
  9. Today I received a trade from wild wiggly beanz, a very cute micro organism named coli. She also sent me a chocolate coin which I would let you discover but it's not trackable so I will keep it for myself
  10. Dont feel sad. I have not gotten anything in awhile. Was thinking about opening my xmas mission but I think I might be able to wait I'm not sure that you will be able to wait to open it Sparticus Still 15 long days until Christmas
  11. All the missions we sent have been received and I'm very happy about it. I think it was the first time I sent packages like that so far away, especially one in Sweden We're still waiting for our Adult and Child missions but I know that many packages have been sent recently. Our dogs received their mission a long time ago and are still patiently waiting to open their box which is right on the floor in my scrapbooking room. For them, the excitement will start when I'll begin opening it I'm going out to shovel the 12 inches of snow we had since yesterday. Hope it won't melt away before Christmas, it so nice to have a White Christmas. Sorry for you folks down under
  12. Whoops! I thought I checked that - what a laugh! That makes it even more fun to give & receive to & from each other, without first realising it! Once I sent my post I had second thaughts about writing it down but I don't think they will mind. It just add to the fun of this happy mission

  18. One of my most precious memory in caching is a day trip I took with my geodog Wyatt Earp. I have often climbed Mt-Washington in the White Mountains of New-Hampshire in the past but this time we were also geocaching. We wanted to reach the summit and get our picture taken by the observatory webcam to claim our find. On a beautiful sunny morning September 3rd, we left the base at 8:30 and started our climb on a very nice trail that took us in a very quiet forest. Let's just say that the trail can be quite steep from times to times, up hill almost all the way. Once you reach a certain altitude, only dwarf trees surround you. After that, you have to look for cairns to stay on the trail because all you see are boulders everywhere. It was the perfect day to climb the mountain, we met a few hikers which were always happy to pet Wyatt and have a little chat. During our ascent, I stopped regularly to enjoy the view, it seems as you can see forever once you're out of the forest. Wyatt was always eager to continue his hike. It was his first trip on this mountain and he was a real trooper. He had his own packsack with his water, bowl and some cookies. He was always in front of me on the trail but kept looking back to see if I was still following. Let's just say that being only 2 years old, he is in better shape than I am It took us 4 hours and a half to reach the 6,288 ft summit. We had our picture taken by the webcam saved by our daughter back home. Mission accomplished! For those who wonder if the trip going down was tough, don't worry, my husband was waiting for us on the summit. He took the auto road There are things in life that you remember forever, this is one of them Picture taken at the summit with Wyatt Erap my faithful companion, my big furry friend
  19. I remembered finding an unknown cache right here in Quebec which was about Kobold the Gnome who came for a visit here and decided to stay since he liked it so much On the cache's page you can even see some pictures of him during his vacation. Les dernières vacances de Kobold Can't wait to see someone receive that cute little gnome and post a picture of him
  20. Dear gnomes, forget about summer holidays, enjoy winter holidays! If you want to keep your cheeks pink, you should come visit us in Canada, we have nice cool weather here I'm sure you would enjoy having a White Christmas Hope to see you appear in a Canadian cache

  24. I would also like to nominate the following persons for different reasons but, mainly for being nice with me. It's funny to think that everyone of them except maybe one has a canine friend PengoFamily Geo.Error lorca Team Shydog tsunrisebey dhenninger loridarlin IBCrashen Is it my imagination or is it a fact that every cacher is a nice, friendly and generous person
  25. Only two coins this morning but very nice ones. One from CF30 and one is our monthly coin from Geoswag. It's like they fit together, the glitter is the same
