If anyone wants to see the nodes that are currently connected to the reflector, Here's the URl..

Note that with NG Pocket PC, you can attach a GPS to the PPC to traack your current position on NG map in the PPC.
Is there a special cable that you use with a PPC? I am using an HP 1910 PPC.

You got my vote Mark.
Your doing a bang-up job.

1> How do you print out just the elevation profile?
2> Can I export the TOPO! files into something that could be read on my Pocket Pc?
-
Are there any National Geographic TOPO! users in here?
I have a few questions and hope someone else can help..

Guys, what happened during my 2nd go-around? Did I time something out or what? When I let go of the mike, I wasn't even connected to the Node anymore!!
When did you guys lose me?
Chris
Im not exactly sure what happened. You were in the middle of your transmission and then you just went away. Mark tried to call you a few times but you just werent there. The node you were on might have timed out?
Sure hope it doesnt happen next week.

Hey Marky,
What time do you plan on starting the net?
I hope to be off work by 6:00 pm or so PST...

I guess we will use the main channel, 9000.. And I second Marky as the Net Control.. I will be connected both Wednesday and Thursday nights..

Hey AirMapper,
Really man, you need to check into Amateur Radio (HAM). Then instead of chatting with locals while your Geocaching, you could chat with other Cachers around the world. And did you know that most HT's- (handhelds) are basically 4 radios built into one? You have a 2-way radio, a pocket pager, mobile phone in most locations, and a voice link to anywhere in the world (IRLP-Echolink). And most of these features are with little or no cost to you.
Then you can try Packet radio, Amateur Television - Send video over the air to others, and lots of other fun stuff.
Your basically gonna be stuck trying to find that much fun with Citizen Band..

p.s. can you tell I really like Ham Radio?

Hey Marky,
Tell Dan N6VYQ that Chris formerly KD6NSD and formerly from Taft,Ca says Hey..

Yea,,, I just got my IRLp node up and running again last night.
Now if you guys dont mind I will ask a few of the Reflector operators/owners if there is a chance of us using one of the Echolink/IRLP connections for a Geocaching Net.
This way just about any Ham should be able to participate.

There is no Windows version of IRLP. The only software available is for "node" use. There are Echo-IRLP nodes out there. These nodes let both Echolink and IRLp users to communicate together.
My IRLP node will be back up and running as soon as I get my newer computer.

When I enter the jrh 5 I get nothing. When I enter 5386 or 5385 as its marked on the map I get nothing. So Im wondering, if it was so important to place this disc,,, then where's the info to go with it? And yes Im in Nevada. Reno to be exact.

I just found a Benchmark that showed on my USGS Topo. It is listed as BM 5385 and is not in the Geocache.com or NGS's site.. I just wanted to see if it was still out there. So I visited a few sites in order to figure out the coordiantes and got within 15 feet of it.. Now to see if there is any info on the net concerning this Benchmark..
How To Get Into Ham

Well if the repeaters are on a hill. You should be able to use them with the lowest amount of power. So if you were to get a "Hand Held"- HT unit you would be more than able to use them. If you are in a more remote area then I would say get something with a bit more power.
