It is for this log.
There are no automated tools but we do keep a record of every file name and which log, cache, etc it belongs to.
Thanks alot Jeremy..That is it. I could have sworn it was in the UK though.. But yes thats the cache page. Thanks.
I knew I wasn't loosing my mind.

Yes you can install the OS before you buy the board. What OS are you gonna use? I'm using RedHat 9.0 on my node right now. After you get and install your board, then you will be able to install the IRLP node software.
What kind of radio are you going to use?
Glad to see your making progress.

Eh, sort of.
UPS says the server is to be delivered Monday, and I can install the OS (or try to, dunno if it requires the board) that afternoon. It'll be a while until I get the board, gotta save up some allowance for that.

With my Explorist, you need to press the enter button when you see the globe screen. Otherwise it shuts itself back down. The enter button is the round one in the middle of the unit

Are we still getting the girl scouts to do the camo?

Sorry but the image im looking for wasn't one of theirs.
Guess I will just have to try and search the net for it.

Ok, I remember reading a cache page a long time ago that dealt with going a short ways into a cave. I thought this would be a cache I wanted to do. So I saved one of the images that shows the general location of the cache, but forgot to save the Cache listing into my watchlist.
Is there a way to search the Image Archives to see if I can find the cache via an image name?
The image was named 304619_200.jpg.. Kinda doubt there would be 2 or more images with this same name.
Can someone help point me into the right direction?

A good book to get would be one of the Ham study manuals from Radio Shack.
As for a radio try to find a single band (2 Meter) ht to start with. You will want to upgrade in a few months or a year. A used Radio Shack HTX202 would be your best bet.
As for a website, Try ARRL.org. Then once you get your ticket- you might want to become an ARRL member.

Try setting your GPS to Degrees,Minutes.Minutes. That is the Geocache standard.. what type of GPS do you have?

A nice little sailor song by John Valby.
That wouldn't happen to be Barnacle Bill now would it?? Classic Valby for sure.
I like the Skeeter song a bit better

It seems like every time I turn on one of my GPS'rs the EPA seems to be increasing. Has anyone else noticed this in their area?
I'm in Reno,Nevada and this problem has been happening on all three of my GPS's. I have 2 Garmin Etrex Legends, and one Magellan Explorist 200.. The Garmins are showing up to 45 feet accuracy and the Magellan shows 20 feet. Only a few weeks ago the were down to 5-10 feet off. Any clue as to what is going on?
Any feedback is welcomed..

If I want to irritate my brother while out caching, (and I do) I usually hum dumb songs.. Like the theme song to the Smurfs. Ir I break inot a bad version of Minnie Ripertons "Loving You" lla la la la la, la la la la la, la la la la la la la la la la...do do do doo ohhhhhhhh...

I have no problem with any of the trinkets I see in caches. Although seeing more Geocache related objects would be nice.

Do both caches have the same name written on the log?
I think that writing the name on all log sheets should be a must. A few of the ones I have found are just sheets of paper stuffed into a cache. So if I were to find a second container in the same area I would have no idea which cache was which...

Well,
If your looking to find one of the users "Archived" caches. Look at their profile. It will show you all their finds and hides.

I used Frontpage. It's an HTML editing program. But I'm sure you can do the same thing in Microsoft Word.

The few times I have gone along on a caching trip involved the following.
Frozen bottles of water.
Pq of coordinates loaded into 2 gps'rs
Pq of cache info loaded into pocket computer.
GPX sheet printed out for easy check off finds/dnf's.
And of course a log book and lots of batteries.

I think my most visited cache would be Cover The Earth. And the least visited one would be either Country Roads - or Lil Blue Bunny. Both are out in the great Northern Nevada Desert.
