  1. C looks best as is, but when reduced in size to coinage I think A will turn out the best IMHO

  3. That is great, MrsB! I first came across the phrase while traveling as well. I was on my own, going through europe as a teenager, and some of the books I brought with me were Tolkien's Lord of the Rings. The first book is where the quote originates in a poem: ...All that is gold does not glitter, Not all those who wander are lost; The old that is strong does not wither, Deep roots are not reached by the frost... I hope she likes the coin
  4. Today I received a suprise from C&P... a handful of the indian watchtower coins, including a special finish
  5. I have been out of caching and the forums the past couple months because of school (didn't stop my collecting though! ). 6. For some reason the tracking/activation codes for the lates tengwars are not yet updated into coincodes.com. I have submitted the request but with it being a holiday weekend I wouldn't get your hopes up for them in the next few days
  7. The orders were definitely weighted more coins per order than number of overall orders. There were 104 orders and about a half dozen trades. There were almost as many flat rate boxes as there were envelopes being sent out
  8. Wow, very nice Can't wait to see them!
  9. Right On! There's our winner Send me your mailing info and it will be on its way
  10. I set a new personal record at the post office today, there was a line 30 people long behind me and all the workers came over to watch the lucky teller hit the total button All but 5 or 6 orders have been mailed (various reasons - they will be mailed out tomorrow). All the customers should receive a confirmation email in the next day or so as I go back through the mailing records and mark orders as shipped on my website. Its a little cumbersome, but it minimizes mistakes on my part All special orders and all trades have been mailed as well Sorry Oz, you were numero dos! Better luck next time In fact, for the first time in tengwar history for me, the aussies as a whole weren't the largest recipients of international orders. Portugal came up real big in my customs forms this time! International orders really tipped the scale all over. Its been 50:50 domestic:international on my coin sales so far, but today I'd say it was 35:65. Is that the norm for others? I'm happy with it now that I made an excel file to print out the customs forms anyway!
  11. Yep, guess away, as many times as you want
  12. This is in celebration of the tengwar coins finally being shipped out Guess the length of my post office receipt (to the nearest half inch) to win one of the mistake finished soft purple on satin silver tengwar coins (only 9 exist!) Contest closes when there is a winner or in a few days when I'll pick the closest guess thus far. Edit to add: Yes, you can guess more than once!
  13. Hey AtlantaGal I updated the tengwar thread as well, but those will be going out tomorrow. Just email or PM me to let me know if you want it to go to a different address
  14. Just an FYI! The estimated date for me to receive these from the mint is the first week of June.
  15. The tengwars came to me this week, I finished my final exams and the coins will be process and posted to ship out tomorrow!
  16. Wohoo, got my Neptune's Compass coins in
  17. There are a couple on on ebay right now that I'm using to raise some funds for another coin's samples due in a couple months But yes they will be available at regular price later this summer or fall. There are only a few of the trader versions so I'm being kind of picky when it comes to trades (though offers are always nice!). None of these are LE's or anything, but the 2 tones are going to be more expensive to reproduce so will be a small in-hand inventory type sale.
  18. Alright, here are the pics of the versions not imaged prior. The last two are trader/personal versions. Click them for big pics Green on Silver Green on 2-Tone Red on Silver Red on 2-Tone Blue on Silver Blue on 2-Tone
  19. I will take some this afternoon
  20. Kansas?!?! (I'm allowed to make fun of it; I rescued my wife from there! )
  21. I've used this more on caching trips than anything else so I see it as caching related, but if mods feel otherwise I do understand! I have a used Canon EOS 6.3MP Digital Rebel Camera with 18-55mm Lens that I would like to sell. I will be placing it on eBay in the next week or so but thought I would give my fellow cachers first dibs. Don't be fooled by the 'low' megapixel number. Compared to pocket cameras with huge MP numbers, this still outperforms since it is an SLR and gives very high quality photographs. I'm asking $220 for it as described on my website here. You can simply purchase it there or contact me if you want to send a money order or something along those lines. Specs on the camera are easy to find on amazon.com here (I would just copy-paste specs from there anyway ). NOTE THE PRICE! The $220 is less than half the price it is going for new or used there. Ebay seems to be selling them at around $340. It is used (obviously), but it is in fantastic working condition. Has no dings, dents or real bad scratches. Just normal wear in places where hands grip, on the bottom, and where corners rub (also on the bottom) within the carrying case over time. It will include a shoulder strap, the battery, charger and a CF memory card as well as the canon brand 18-55mm lens. If I can find the bag it came in I will include that too (somewhere in my storage closet...) For sample photos actually taken with this camera you can visit here and view them. Questions otherwise just pm me, email me, or post here Images: edit: add more details and photos.
  22. I haven't donated for things like this before. If one is wishing to do so, are you looking for a few coins or a few dozen to be donated?
  23. I will have some extra neptunes, I have celtic tree of life coins (all versions) and tengwars (many versions) to trade. Looking for the compass rose anniversary set with the black nickel version. Thanks!
