i dont like to walk to caches so i bike instead im willing to bike to any cache within 10 miles of my house excluding caches that i have to cross a river or interstate when your in minneapolis i get a little nerve ract seeing the mississippi is where all the dead bodies end up on the news. i hope im not tommorows headline.
-
no its ok i do that when im showing a new person about geocaching i first show them one then explaine how they do it and then find another nearby and let them find it so if your just teaching go ahead
-
hey what if we made like sundial caches! where you would go to a certain building with like a point like a church steeple or somthing and at a certain time the tip of the steeple would point to a certain spot at a certain time showing the direction of the cache all you need to list is the distance. What do u think?

EVEN MINUTES-LIFESAVING CACHES
FlagFinder replied to tomfuller & Quill's topic in General geocaching topics
i see some good and some really bad problems. first avalanches and snow may cover the cache it shouldnt be handeled by geocaching.com they are most likely to be lost somehow or stolen now you could use just coordinates to be major rodevou points to get to but im sure its been done. plus ive noticed the colder it gets the slower your gpsr is. -
ya are you competeing with him if not who really cares i would prefer if he didnt find my caches id be nervous he would become a major muggle.

FlagFinder replied to I.R. Geonut's topic in GPS technology and devices

ok now let me ask you this what is the most caches youve found in a day?
-
you may want to tell your reviewer why it is disabled for so long or they will archive it. our reviewer gives us 6 months to do somthing or give an explanation.
-
well i can only think of one explanation this guy had an old username and transfered over to a new one. but if he really found that many in one day... eeh never would happen this guys a liar. sorry dude i dont belive you.
-
ok heres my opinion say you have published it. ok thats your first time that would be hiding it. now go back and sign the log book and you found it put a little effort in it.

i used to use a 100 for my first gps its a decent begginer unit maps are also on gps's if u want to do it that way but the 100 does not use maps. i have never tryed caching with a map and a compass but maybe try letterboxing. letterboxing is similar to geocaching but u use a compass and main features to find the container i did a terible job of explaining that so just google letterboxing.

Garmin and Magellan are cutting back on units! one day i was reading ads in the paper and noticed many extreme sales on units so i went online to the site and noticed maggelan cut back on the meridians yet some places still have them in stock. also Garmin has just recently cut the etrex vista c and etrex legend C and they still can be purchased at your local retailer. so this forum is for your info. but finally lets make a dream GPS if you made a gps wut features would it have? i would want sattilite radio. how bout you?
