  1. the very reason this category is on my blacklist. <snip> wants this as his personal category.
  2. 76 25 puts it pretty close to Ottawa, Canada. Quite a few waymarkers and geocachers around there. And I think @bluesnote could be close when he is at school. Syracuse NY, Baltimore MD and Norfolk VA.
  3. Welcome to @IhmisAnkka, and congrats on your first waymarks published
  4. Oklahoma City had buffalo. I thought to put them in the Fiberglass Horse category, but they only accept horses. I thought it was for these town art objects.
  5. I have used it before, and I believe the coords would be listed, and the map would show those coords. I just checked one of mine and it is not doing that.
  6. Welcome to @sandmanClan, and congrats on your first waymark published
  7. Welcome to @mjbuzz, and congrats on your first waymark published
  8. Congrats on finding one, and so close to home! Nice waymark, I'll have to go visit soon.
  9. Welcome to @cab68370 and congrats on your first published waymarks
  10. well, this is an easy one. Welcome BACK to @yukionna. Nice to see you back, we've missed you since 2008!
  11. I just can't believe folks are wasting their time and energy to write up these waymarks, knowing that they will be deleted soon.
  12. from the category description A chronogram is a text in which the sum of all letters which may be interpreted as numerals yields a year. The letters intended to be interpreted as numerals are almost always highlighted by increased size or color variance, commonly red or gold. The year will, as a rule, indicate an important event, for example the year of construction of a monument or building. The event can also be a natural disaster, a battle, the birth of an heir to the throne or something similar.
  13. Welcome to @Apocalypticorns, and congrats on your first published waymark.
  14. Welcome @FamilieFrohne, and congrats on your first published waymarks
  15. Welcome @IhmisAnkka, and congrats on your first published waymark
  16. one thing I've seen lately that I'm just learning -- I keep an eye on the "Newest Waymarks" listing. When these "old" waymarks are submitted and published, they are put into the listing on the date created. Say I created a waymark in January, but for whatever reason, I held it till now and submitted. It gets approved. It will not show in the "Newest Waymarks" because that only list the last 30 days.
  17. Welcome @CMiller38, and congrats on your first published waymark
  18. Welcome to @gc_express, and congrats on your first published waymarks
  19. The problem I see with retail is this: Peer review is looking for global presence. So with retail (Subway, KFC, etc) if they are global, then it is oversaturated. I prefer the local or regional retails, let visitors know what to look for if you are coming this way.
  20. I would just let him know that as the Category Group Leader/Owner (whatever it's called), I am the one to contact. Then tell him that I have reviewed the waymark, and it does not meet current requirements.
  21. I thought that I had started to complete a UCW once. I have never been PM. But now, there is nothing for me to click to assign the category. I guess it is a Premium feature.
  22. you make the waymark just like normal, EXCEPT do NOT put in a category (or delete the category). Then, when you save it, you will get the message that it doesn't have a category. OK that, and it will go to UCW.
  23. Welcome to @Na+To, and congrats on your first published waymarks.
  24. Welcome to @Team Boon from the Netherlands, and congrats on your first 4 published waymarks.
  25. I could easily see teenagers going more towards the retail categories. Lotsa numbers, easy to get pictures. Maybe that could actually be used to get some younger blood in here.
