  1. A lot of us use the snap closed storage with the clear lid and yellow dividers found at Lowes. You can store them front to back or sideways and the container has a great handle. I put my trackables in one and non in another with a label on the cover and sides for at a glance knowledge of which is which. They run just under $11.00 As for display, there are a lot of ways depending on the amount of room on your wall or table, some use binders, I happen to use stained 1" x 2" boards with a groove (from the table saw( down the middle of the narrow side and screw it to the wall, You can make any length, then the coin can be stood in the groove with or without package for easy viewing. Hope this helps...
  2. Thanks Mark, it is truly one of my favorite moments at the event, meeting you and receiving your coin. The coin is really beautiful, pics do not do it justice, I especially love the meaning behind the coin. I am really big on family connections and I am so glad you think often of your grandfather. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with next.
  3. YEA, I completed my set, thanks Mark....Chris still has an extra Katsup if any one has a Dirty Towel for trade, you can email me..... Think the numbers are the factory number, but who knows.....
  4. I vote geocaching, I HATE all the commercials, etc. and I wonder what the coins will be worth to a political collector in 50 years.....
  5. SANTA MISSION 1. Participating - Email Sent - 10/17/08 2. Received Name - 3. Mission Complete - 4. Package Received -
  6. I do to, you could add the words in the basket weave section of the tree, one word per square....just my .02 worth, really like the design.
  7. Still grinning..... Forgot to mention, the devil showed up in my trader box and I have NO idea how it got there..... but I sure do love it, and don't bother to ask it is not for trade or sell....
  8. Man, web page just did a ZONK and posted 3 times, oh well it just gives me another chance to say it was a great event.
  9. Just got home and feel like I am almost to late to say THANK YOU to EVERYONE involved in this wonderful event. I posted in one of the other coinfest logs and made sure to put a link to the photos of the poker challenge. I will never for get KayakerMaine for knocking me out but at least I lasted longer then Mackey. LOL Loved trading pathtags with all the young ones, it was great to see their face when the had completed another successful trade, I am soooo glad I threw them in with my coins. Ended up hand carring over 50 pounds of coins on the plane as their was no way they were getting out of sight. LOL Seeing and putting a face to a forum name was one of my highlights, and the warmth and friendly attitude was spread throughout the room. Trading coins was fun but it just seemed like the time flew by, having the little one Xander aka Paws-and-Effect with us kinda slowed down some of the trades but it was wonderful to spend time with all those who were so generous with their offers. To all the volunteers, WOW, you outdid yourselves.....Next year I will try and help out more as I can only imagine what was going on behind the scene of this well run event. You really outdid yourselves. I will start saving up for the next event but I don't know if anyone can top this one.....
  10. Glad to find a place to post a link to my photo's as well...most of mine are of the poker challenge and the fun had by all....Happy to say I out lasted my son Fox-and-the-Houns aka Chris Mackey....even though he offered a limited AE coin for the person who knocked me out before him.... http://s120.photobucket.com/albums/o166/al...%20GEOCOINFEST/ Had a lot of fun, hope those who missed it will be able to attend next year...
  11. Man, now I know why my haired turned gray....had a bat get all tangled up in my hair while I was at GCF and it started whipping its wings faster and faster, until I finally yanked the little guy out and threatened to clip its wings......LOL Gee, didn't think to check out the dark, damp places in the building for more of them, I might just have to start searching so I can put posts on the back and tack them to my ears...I could really fly then. Thanks bat man for encouraging me to let my hair go au natural.....
  12. MAN OH MAN, Talk about a slippery little devil.....I had a handful of coins that I had just taken out of my case, showed them to someone, put them back, glanced away and right back and OH, MY Goodness, There was a DEVIL staring up at me....I grab the guy by his horns and started shouting, LOOK LOOK and Moop and another gentleman start saying what, what.....I show them the Shiny Red and I am jumping up and down so they are having a hard time seeing why I am soooooo excited. Once they realize the Devil had swooped right in over their shoulder they kept offering to trade or buy it, and I am like NO WAY, I LOVE mystery coins, and I would HATE to have this wicked looking Devil mad at me.....so even though the trader "devil" to my left kept making outrageous offers, I just said there ain't no way your getting your hands on this guy and slid this little red devil into my back pocket.....hey you never know, he might just thaw out my "Frozen Buns" LOL Thanks You Little Mystery Devil you, I am truly honored.....
  13. It was great getting to put a face to the name even if it was for just moments...LOL what ALOT of fun....everyone should get to go to one of these events. Lowest gas we SAW was 2.89, but lowest we paid was 3.09.... Glad you came, and even happier about all the safe trips home I have heard and read about....
  14. I believe Chris may have a couple for you. Oh Boy, he didn't tell me that, I just started drooling all over my keyboard when he told me pictures had been posted, they truly are wonderful, I am so glad the ocean waves worked out. Look forward to seeing them in person in a few weeks......
  15. Wow, I hadn't talked to Chris for awhile (he has been busy lately) so I didn't know that the picture had been posted. Now I need to know when and where they will be on sale..... He will be attending the event and hopefully can get me some if I can't buy any early......

  17. man this is what I get for tending my dad during and after his surgery, all is well now, and then having sinus surgery myself and having to be away from the forums. I missed another mission.....please, if any of you happen to think of it, shot me an email so I can do a quick note and get in on all the fun. I really look forward to all the pictures to come......even if I did miss out.....I will just have to make a new spooky mission cache for some lucky FTF.....

  19. That is where the record highs come from? We need to send you back! Yep, I never dreamed my Frozen Buns would melt down to nothing, now I have to create a new way to freeze them.....sitting on an old fashioned Ice Cream churn like when I was a kid would work LOL
  20. Hey Scoby, nice to put a face to ya....LOL, You are only having a BAD summer because I had to stay south this summer and I kept all my sunshine with me and created record highs in Texas. LOL The weather has been awful in Alaska with record lows and record rains, my family has only picked 1 1/2 gallons of raspberries when we normally get 17+. Come south and thaw out, your "Frozen Buns" I have plenty of extra room.....LOL
  21. I am in, have been missing the missions of late, Looking forward to the fun...
