  1. Yes, your order got through. I'll invoice within a week, then I'll send em out ASAP after that. T please ignore the second form then, i wasnt sure if it had worked so i sent another, its just the two im ordering not four (LOL)
  2. thats great. i am around friday morning so i will check into the site and send you a mail (after the dentist so somethings gotta cheer me up!) as i would love to order one
  3. Ok cool thanks. I take it they are identified by the different pic next to the cache, i think ive seen some caches with pics of what i assumed at the time were landrovers (lol) also in an earlier post McKryton wrote ... I grabbed and dropped a white jeep once. I already had one at the time and I thought another would be greedy. Beside I don't think there is anybody at GM who is going to get upset about their bugs activities. so whats GM? soz for all the questions im just learning all the time as ive only been doing this a couple of months
  4. this probably sounds thick but ive not been doing caching long...what are white jeeps and yellow jeeps, i have some bizarre mental images of trucks sticking out of ammo boxes right now...
  5. i did send a form but dont know if it got through, is there any other way of contacting you folks as i wanted to make an order?
  6. I missed out, anyone got two and wanna flog one?
  7. i'd like to congratulate the lydfords too as it was my cache it happened to land on and they came back to it after a DNF to log it for the big 100 so well done to all
  8. funnily enough having spent the quiet hour of my shift reading some bug logs (yes its sad but at 4am i gotta stay awake somehow) i noticed some people also do the opposite, they log a bug into a cache then straight back out again to give it extra mileage. seems to make a little more sense to me but what do people think about that and bexybear...K2? now i am excited LOL, what a photo that would make!
  9. Logged on to my email about 30 mins ago (im not anal just working nights) to find a log stating my travel bug had been picked up. I was a bit disappointed to find therefore that the person who retrieved it actually immediately dropped it back in the same cache again stating they logged it as a find but left it in the cache. Whats your thoughts on this. I say i felt disappointed as I got excited thinking herbie was on the move again only to find that actually...he wasnt. I also did wonder what was the point of doing it in the first place??? If it was just to shore up numbers its a bit of a swiz i feel as its doing nothing to help my bug just making the stats bigger
  10. Since taking up geocaching I have found one of my favourite aspects of it is the travel bug. I love to get them photographed in different places I'm visiting and try to get a photo of them fulfilling some aspect of their mission. Ive released my own now and really hope he gets some good photos and am looking forward to seeing them. So what do you all do - do you merely pick them up and log them when you drop them off or do you also do things with them (in a manner of speaking)? And do you as owners enjoy seeing these photos? Does it help if they have a specific mission? I know if they simply state 'to travel about' or something similar and im having a busy week i may move them on without photos though i like to try to get something if i can Edited for spelling
  11. hi all im a cacher from britain and i went to a few shops round our local town and picked up various items... four packs of make your own fridge magnets-havent done it yet but looking forward to making some to leave in caches two packs of glow in the dark sheep and teddy bears-the kind kids put on their ceiling, perhaps not useful to adults but fun for those with younger cachers with them my local pound shop sells stationery packs filled with erasers, stickers, pens and such so some of those as well as packs of gel pens or pens that write in differing colours but im always on the look out for trinkets. if i find a cache with mostly rubbish in it (and i have done a few times despite being new to this) i leave something nice for the next finder and dont take anything out free
  12. hi im new to the forum. i was the highest bidder until rutson managed to persuade the seller to grant the bugs clemency and left the message on the main forum. prior to the auction ending i had requested whether the seller would be willing to furnish me a buy it now price but am very glad to see not only have the bugs gone back into circulation but money has also gone to charity. i do agree however, that nasty emails probably werent the way to get things back. i tried to be fairly polite and explain that although the tbs were low in monetary value they did have sentimental value. that said before i read the forums i did come home and email the seller again asking about the buy it now offer.....if they are dodgy it would be interesting to see how they responded to THAT still alls well that ends well. next time i will be sure to have a quick scan of the forum before i take any action ty rutson
  13. if it helps the report is worded in the exact same words as the message i then added above about reading rutsons reply which may thoroughly confuse the mods just popped into the brit forum to read their version of this thread too explained that this morning before the charity donation was made i had emailed the seller requesting a buy it now total. when i got in this evening i didnt read the forums but mailed them again asking about the offer i had made. im assuming they will either ignore it or tell me they sent em to rutson but if they are dodgy that could turn out interesting! anyways im off to get warm and dry, failed a cache find today-was got by a combination of freezing rain, unfamiliar territory and shoes which as it turned out WERENT waterproof happy hunting
  14. Just got home to see rutsons message that they have been successfully retrieved which im glad to hear as i read a message on the cancelled listing stating they were being binned and subsequently fired off another request for their clemency! froggy i accidentally clicked report and put my answer in the box. so instead of answering you the first time i typed this i reported your post. i have sent another message to the mods explaining my faux pas and apologising, sorry mate
  15. Someone is selling activated travelbugs that they bought at a car boot sale on ebay. The item number is 7208155760. As they have toys attatched to the tags they clearly have owners. Have emailed the seller to ask how much to end the listing early but am trying to get as many owners of lost tbs as possible to look so might be able to find the owner. If i win auction will of course replace in local cache and log it.
