  1. I do hope you expand this series one day.... I would love to see other versions - come to New Zealand (don't suggest we are part of Australia!) China, Japan, Scandnavian, UK...... oh, what fun you could have. WELL DONE! Great coins.
  2. It's a sydney Koala! Thanks! That's definitely going on my wanted list. The Sydney geocoin came as both the shaped one, and a round one. Sydney - Australia. Issued about 2 to 3 years ago. Aka - Sydney Eternity.
  3. Thanks to Puffinator! I drove home today through the winter snow (road was the only one of four options home, that was open!) to find the flower mission here. What a lovely mission! The Compass Rose micro nomad, and a Rhode seashell (I forget the name, momentarily) plus a lovely photo to bring warmth and sunshine here of a sunflower. Plus..... Jewellery! A dangle plus a pair of earrings! Plus - a butterfly / flower peg. Oh, you spoilt me! So - from Butterfly Lady - mission complete, send and received. Photos to be uploaded when I get a chance. Thank you all! ps.... I love missions!
  4. Rename it "STOLEN, not lost: The case of the nicked geocoin" This way it will show up on their inventory as this.
  5. Lovely coin. Especially seasonal here at the moment - icy wintery blasts up and down our country!
  6. OHHHH can`t people send seeds over seazzz pleazzz can anyone tell me that I wouldn't risk it, it could lead to trouble with customs... As much as I would love to send seeds, I left them out of my parcel. Many countries, especially those geographically isolated, will not permit plant material in. It must be declared here. You are not even allowed to bring an apple off a plane, without risking a $250 fine. Meantime we have no major fruit fly, pests, etc.... Plant material, even commerically packaged ones must go through strict inspection, fumagation etc... Why risk it? It will delay the package, maybe even get it destroyed.
  7. PS.... Mission mailed. 4 to 6 days, they say!
  8. Excuse me, please define hail for me non native speaker... Hail as I understand is frozen rain, ice, which can be in different sizes, from grain size till goose egg size. Your picture shows an unusuall huge amount of hail, should it be that! Wait, you have winter now, so it shouldn't do too much damage to crops, did it? Hi there.... Yes hail, the size of golf balls - but huge quantities of it. I understand the storm was nearly an hour long! Most hail storms I've experienced (even the one with softball size hail) last 10 to 15 minutes. Not quite winter - May is classified as autumn still... Huge damage expected to be seen on our kiwifruit crops which are currently being harvested. The grape crops (vino) are not in that area much, and harvesting should be finished. This storm caused a shopping mall to evacuate when the weight of the hail caused a roof to partially subside. Being at a beach location, this was most unusual - a location that is normally dry, warm and just enough rain to maintain it's green-ness. Here's the beach....
  9. There is a new type of coin that is actually a trackable tag. Neat & colourful on one side and more plain on the other. One example is the "Breast Cancer Awareness Tag " Around $3.5 each plus postage. This would be an economical way to get started. Good luck - beware the addiction!
  10. I've been a little slow on this one - my apologies. I think the cold winter is getting to me, as my office is in the basement and I just have not been down here much..... brrrr. 6cm of hail in Tauranga two days ago.... they were snowboarding on the beach! Yes - that's hail, not snow! Anyway - it's all packaged. Can't send seeds, so included some extra coins. Going to the US, so it should be there by the end of the month (mailing tomorrow - Thursday 14th) May not be sending with sunshine, but going to sunshine!
  11. Today - I got coins!!! The club Geo Graduate owl - cute as. And the latest Crake white butterflies (I could not resist) Glad to report that the exchange rate has broken the 60cent mark at last... might start buying a few more soon.
  12. Not today - just Rain, hail, sleet, wind - it's brrrr cold Here! Wishing for summer again.
  13. On the page for the coin - on the far right hand side is a tiny bar with pull down menu (under trackable options) It defaults to "mark item missing" Hit the"go" button next to it. If you are the coin owner or the cache that it is currently logged into, then you do not require the tracking number. Afterall, you may own the cache, but you may not have seen the coin that someone else logged into the cache.
  14. Oops - I subtracted from Perth's time (closest to my location on the list) when I should have added. Dreamt last night about this - am I addicted? Realised the time was mid morning Tuesday..... so while the boss was busy, I managed to slip the email off at the right moment. There are New Zealand ECs coming to New Zealand !!!
  15. Yes, what a wonderful world that would be. I have someone trying to add an extra to their order, to send to me (not awake in New Zealand at that time), so already the count is down by one multiple sale....
  16. Good luck to everyone vying for these beautiful coins. I hope and trust all play fair. As it will be 4.30am New Zealand time, I will not be participating. Afterwards, I would be happy to trade a Kiwi Nomad coin plus something extra for a NZ version of these beautiful coins. Take care, be gentle on yourself and the vendor - she is special to us all.
  17. Just one mission please Email Sent: 3 May here - just spied the forum - have been a little busy to visit often. Name Recieved: Mission Sent: Mission Recieved:
  18. On Thursday I got a note in my letterbox saying there was a registered package that they could not deliver, so I rang and had it redirected to work...... My incoming sunshine mission from Chur! (Our inspection people had opened it and checked for organic material, but it passed!) I had to open it - - - yum! Sorry - chocolates did not last for a photo. some lovely squares of wonderful flavours. And those gummy jelly sweets too..... and Toberone hot chocolate / coffee sachets. A lovely card plus two lovely geocoins - the latest Welsh coin plus "Two seasons of December" reminding us that it hot and cold at the same time in different hemispheres - perfect for a northern mission heading south here. Thank you Chur!
  19. Ill be catching some ZZZs - sales are about 2am here, so even though NZ version, there prob won't be any winging here..... will do trade though if anyone wants to get some spares.
  20. Well, today there was a note from the postie in my letterbox. An international package sent by registered mail.... SO I don't get to see it yet.... but I think it is yours, been sent to me (gremlins got it readdressed to me).. hee hee
  21. Pukeko Stew (A native bird here - prob a bit smaller than a chicken!) Catch the pukeko first. Pluck all the blue feathers. Oh, and the brown feathers, and any other feathers. Slice down middle belly, remove innards. Chop into smaller bits. Toss into a billy over a fire. Add water. Boil for a day. Add seasoning - native herbs, a boot, grandpa's old holey socks. Maybe some pepper to taste. Boil for another day. Toss out the bird. Boil for a third day. Toss out the boot, the sock and anything else chewy. Strain the stock that remains, add chopped vegetables to taste - eg root veges, pumpkin etc. Boil just one hour, thicken with cornflour or ground maize or arrowroot. Seive any lumps out. Serve in camp mugs. Sip slowly to savour. Preferably while holding your nose!
  22. Poor guy - I HATE onion too! Why do so many people insist on adding onions to quiche, sandwiches, savouries, pies, bread topping.... I suggest make some home made bread, let it rise twice. Put it into a round dish, hole in middle but spread out over the edges of the dish.... Then fill the hole with garlic, cheese, cooked meats that he likes, and any veges (cooked al dente) that he likes. Pull the outsides from over the edges to encase the filling. Bake as per normal bread. Cool a little, cut into wedges. Yum!
  23. A purple Caching Capsule (pill) Triple Wisdom Fire Engine 2008 Nav'egg'ation Autism Awareness Alvin Pepper All from River Princess for the Easter Mission (oh, so generous!) From lorca.nl, a lovely signature item of a Clog shoe and a cache laying hen geocoin! And a trade from Australia - three Journey geocoins. What a wonderful week - Thank you all. I'd been ill over the weekend and these gifts and trade are just great!
  24. Second mission received today - Thursday... actually the bunny slipped a card into my mailbox on Tuesday, requesting me to go to the city depot to pick it up, but I could not until today.... so it only just missed Easter by one postal day! River Princess - wow, what a personal mission. A geocache made up, complete with log book and pencil and what swag (I think I will be changing the swag, and keeping this lot!) Easter goodies of chocolate bunnies, Idaho spud, bubblegum eggs and creme eggs. And a surprise Lollipop egg. Personally made badges and magnets using a photo of my 2000th find from my GC profile - clever! Butterfly Cross stitch. Brownie and Daisy Girl Scout Thinking Day badges, pins and special beans. A micro cache Geocoins - Autism Awareness bow, Triple Wisdom (from my wish list!) an Easter Nav'Egg'ation coin, the new fire engine with wheels that spin, Cachin capsule and Alvin Pepper! These coins were hidden inside plastic eggs - two of which were camo! Lots of pink shredded paper makes this a real girl's mission. Photos taken - will post soon.
