  5. Wasn't there a woe is me, life stinks post a few of months ago? One that resulted in the OP being on the receiving end of NUMEROUS "Get Well Soon" Gifts!
  6. Cmon G.G. you KNOW you can count on me
  7. Wow A.C. Gone already!! But got my A.G.& A.S.
  8. I have, on several occasions, gone to this Vendor with the intention of purchasing some coins. However, after adding the VAT/Shipping charges, I just can't bring myself to justify the $17.00+ per coin I would have to pay and I CANCEL my order! Perhaps if everyone that has voiced such STRONG opinions about this did the same, they would get the message and DO something about it. I'm fairly certain that a substantial percentage of their sales go to Non-Block Countries and it would impact their "Bottom Line". As long as people continue to pay these "Union Dues" they will continue to charge them!
  9. A little misleading??? They knew when they ordered the coins that they were already activated--says so on the order page. I would call claiming that they are unactivated a LIE. (none of the coins were sold unactivated) Wow, I just looked up that auction. The bid is up to $12.98 for a coin that is still available for $5.99. His description does say this: This geocoin will be shipped complete with it's activation code printed on the packing slip. The coin can be activated on Geocaching.com when it arrives and a unique icon will be added to your Geocaching profile. A few things are incorrect if anyone wants to let the seller know. 1. The seller can not even have the activation code. These coins were not shipped with the activation code and the only people that would have even known any of the activation codes are the volunteers that pre-activated the coins. The coins were sold with the standard slip that says you can retrieve the code at www.coincodes.com. However since they are pre-activated if you do go to coincodes.com for these coins it will take you to information on the coin. 2. The coin CAN NOT be activated under your profile. ALL of these coins are 'owned' by the special user account that was setup for them and can not be adopted out. USA Geocoins is not responsible for how the seller lists this coin on ebay. I wrote the seller and asked him if, in fact, the coin was "Unactivated" because, to my knowledge, all these coins were shipped Activated! He replied "The Activation Code can be retrieved @ www.coincodes.com" I just feel sorry for the Bidder!
  10. I have written logs for 2 of the 5 coins I purchased and NEITHER of the links work?? Why is that and can it be fixed? Here is one of them: http://www.geocaching.com/track/details.as...e8-db7c824d57a6
  11. There is someone selling these on ebay as "Unactivated" and they state that the Activation Code will come an with the receipt. Were any of these coins sold Unactivated or is this individual being a little Misleading?
  12. No worries Don I'm sitting here waiting for the UPS guy so I can take off to Yellowstone! I'll have all orders packaged, ready to go, so as soon as payment is in, I'll drop them in the mail. I don't leave for GW6 until Tues. morning anyhow. I Knew that But, I'll check my email Fri. morning b-4 we leave-just in case!
  13. Well that kinda stinks! I'll be at a 3 day event thingy and will have NO computer access until Sunday PM-- DON'T GIVE MINE AWAY!!!
  14. One of the European Vendors that I buy from has dropped the VAT for Orders to the US (and others I'm sure) and I have made several purchases from them and will continue to do so. The other has NOT dropped the VAT and, while I admire their coin selection, I WILL NOT be purchasing any of their coins until they do!!
  15. Hi Naomi. That's one beautiful coin there! I don't know if this will help or not but.... my Wife started as a "Service Councilor" for a HUGE Auto Insurance Company last year (the one with the Lizard) and believe me, you want to hear about some NIGHTMARE calls and Customers, you should hear some of hers!! Anyway, for a while there she was coming home STRESSED OUT and wondering weather it was worth it (she actually walked out of the place and got into her car to quit- 3 times). She's been there over a year now and, even tho she still has those days ( claims they put her extension on the "Yell @ Me Gate") she handles it much better! They don't get to her anymore, or she learned to stop letting them, get to her! I think she was overwhelmed by the new job and just wasn't sure enough of herself or her knowledge of the job! HANG IN THERE--It'll get better! By the way-Did I tell you how NICE that coin is!!- Congratulations
  16. Will that meeting occur in "Northeast PA" the town or "northeast PA" the region? I might have to make a trip down for this one!!
  17. Beautiful Coin!! Now for the big question, will it have it's own Icon? Or will it be another.. Pay $10.49+ and Hope Enough Sell?? (I HATE that)
  18. I would ABSOLUTELY be willing to pay $18.00+ for one of those Hand-Crafted Gems!!
  19. Oh, it would be SO nice if it were shaped like a guinea pig Oh, THAT coin! Silly me for thinking you meant the MIAB coin! I wish I had the funds to go whole hog on the guinea pig coin. : ) But nothing that fancy. Just my little boy Geo enjoying a day in the forest. And they wont be in for awhile. So for now I will just sleep with the sample coins under my pillow.... Hey there GG, will you be bringing 1 of your samples to ASP Geobash III? Sure would like to see em! And don't worry, I understand there will be alot of "Behind the Scene Security" there to protect your valuables
