  1. Over there it works basically like this. Spin around 3 times, walk 10 steps forward, and you're bound to bump into a cache.
  2. I used to be able to pull up a list of my archived and/or unapproved caches. Has this been disabled? If not, how do I find it?
  3. Here's a book claiming to list waypoints
  4. Well many of us do log them in the order they were found. In any event, each log entry will be accompanied with a time-stamp when received by gc.com, and that presumably would dictate the order they would be registered on a given "found" date.
  5. Yes, I'm quite aware. But it doesn't enumerate them, (1st, 2nd...100th...500th, etc.) That is what I was mainly getting at. (And before you remind me, I know I can enumerate caches with GSAK, or other record-keeping systems. It would just be neat to have gc.com enumerate in order of entry)
  6. No doubt it's been requested before, but I just thought of it, so there! I think it would be great to have a little stat box on the pages of caches you have done: "You found this cache (date) " "This was your xxxxth find"
  7. Read it again...it was a comment, not a criticism.
  8. I've had 9 caches in the queue awaiting approval since Wednesday. Can't say it's ever taken this long before. As far as I can tell, only one or two caches have been approved in BC all week.
  9. Yes, let's bring back the regular sized fonts. I changed my browser to the next larger size text and it's still too small!
  10. I just noticed that one of my cache pages needed re-formatting (now fixed). A photo was overlapping some of the text. Now I haven't looked at the page that recently, but since noone else has pointed it out to me, I wonder of the latest changes caused this.
  11. When I find that someone has logged a TB tracking number, I often like to send a gentle little note requesting that they not do so. Today I thought I'd go a step further and refer them to the TB FAQ. But on checking the FAQ, I couldn't find any explicit instruction against this. Or am I missing something?
  12. I took my eTrex Vista out late yesterday afternoon, could not get a lock, blamed it on the satellite configuration, but suspected it could me more than that. Today I mounted the unit on my dash, drove to work (about 30 min.) and all that time, I not only did not get a satellite lock, but not one satellite showed up even partially on the bar graph. All other functions appear normal; the pop up message "continuing acquiring?" appears normally, and the searching for satellites message remains on the screen during the search. Suggestions?
  13. My problem continues - - moving to the GPS forum...
  14. Perhaps it already is...at least that was my experience today. Could not locate even 1 satellite in an hour of trying, let alone 4 for a lock!
  15. Or a simple alternative is to make the cache a multi: stage 1 is the parking lot.
  16. ...from the original post The original cache was nowhere near Seattle. It was about 27 miles SE of Portland Oregon.
  17. Yes, me too as well also besides! This is one little enhancement I would greatly appreciate
  18. My wife bought me a bamboo one recently when we were in Cannon Beach, OR. Very lightweight, and does the job well. I added a rubber cane tip to protect the end from damage.
