New to this site. First post. Did a search but still confused as to what unit to purchase. Don't know a thing about GPS units other than I want one.
Would like to stay with Garmin.
Unit will be used to mark locations and be able to return to them. Will be used for hunting and fishing. Need ability to download lake maps and topo maps.
Which unit will do this at the least amount of expense? Dicks Sporting goods has one on sale, a Garmin Legend with accessories and a rebate bringing the total to 199.00 plus tax. Would this model fit my needs?
Your suggestions would be appreciated.

I see nothing wrong with a member posting good pricing on GPS units and giving the names of the merchants with the sale prices.
Does the person who has control of the thread closing it to protect prices on his or her used units they are selling or want to sell?
Smells fishy to me.
