[May have found a geocache?]

Nothing in there mentioned geocaching. Several of the notes in there seemed personal, almost like people were leaving their feelings there. The notes were from folks all over the country and one from Canada. They were also signed. One was signed by a family with the last name Cavanaugh. The jar was not really hidden. It was stuck in between some rocks.

Based on this description, I'd say the item you found is very likely not a geocache.

There was once a link to a photo of the world from orbit and all the geocaches were represented by a green or yellow dot. Does anyone have a link to the image?

I'm not sure about what the website that you are talking about, but there is another method to see the same thing. Google Earth has a feature that allows you to place geocache points on the map. It will search for all of the points for the area that is showing. You can zoom out to whatever altitude you want.... This might be somewhat the same...

There are instructions HERE on how to include your stat bar on a webpage.

 

I tried to put it on my myspace profile but I can't get the image to display. I'm assuming that it is because the stat bar doesn't end in an image file format like jpg, gif, etc...
