  1. Me and a few other crazy guys are leaving tomorrow to bag the one up in Washington! We'll probably stop and get the Original Stash in Oregon too. Woo Hoo!!! Road trip...
  2. BTW, congrats on 70 in a day! That isn't easy to do.
  3. I did the "Whack a Lackey" at GW6 and "Folsom Mini Parks", but not in the same day.
  4. On a positive note. I just got a Colorado 400t and downloaded my first Wherigo cartridge. The cache was located out in the Folsom area, near Sacramento. I was in the area for the event so I grabbed it right after GWVI. I have to tell you it was alot of fun. It takes a little more time than a traditional multi-cache, but there is much more to it than just going from mark to mark. If the cartridge is built properly these can be a ton of fun!
  5. How about we stop worrying about what's in the forums and go out geocaching?
  6. So I contacted Garmin and they said to try some good rechargable batteries and if it still does the same thing then I might have a bad unit. Where is a good place to get some good quality rechargables?
  7. That's what I thought. Thanks folks, I'll get in touch with Garmin.
  8. I've been searching through the forums for any word of the problem I have been having and I cannot find anything so I will mention it here. I just got my Colorado 400t 2 weeks ago and have been out twice with it and it has done this both times. It seems that I can only get about 2 hours of use out of a fresh set of batteries and the darn thing keeps shutting off all by itself without any warning at all. I've updated all the software to the latest/greatest. Is this a bug, or do I have a bad unit?
  9. I am planning to take a trip up to the APE cache in Washington State, leaving June 5 after work and coming back June 8th. Grabbin' caches all the way. Hopefully stopping by the Original Stash Cache in Oregon. Anyone who might be interested in caravaning up there can contact me through my geocaching.com profile. It will be a great time! dadfish
  10. At my front door. I have a standing invitation to any and all cachers for homebrews and some caching. Hmmm...North Dakota is a long ways away but if I'm ever in the area I'll look you up!
  11. Well, the trailer dosn't give you much information about the content of the movie but I like the humor aspect at the end.
  12. I am a presorter operator and data manager for a large printing and mailing company.
  13. I too have had the opportunity to chat with Team Alamo on several occasions. He and his wife have always been very nice. I have even gotten a phone call or two when he is having trouble finding a cache that I have already found. Although his caching addiction seems a bit abnormal, he seems fine!
  14. I voted! Looks like a real nice spot. If you win I want a t-shirt from the south pole.
  15. If all else fails you can always manually tweak your coordinates until they are spot on.
  16. My hardest yet was Nemesis. It is a 7 stage multi cache. It took 5 trips up the hill to finally make the grab on the final.
  17. I have recently started using this setup and really like it. Map, arrow and distance all on the same page.
  18. Personally I prefer the caches that you can grab without even getting out of the car, of which I have found a couple, but far too few IMHO.
  19. Have you said goodbye to all your friends and family?
