I think I will go for the business cards since the idea of the trading cards hasn't evolved much in the last few weeks. I read also about the idea of a CD which is great but wouldn't it be greater if every geocacher could add to the disk when they find it? ---------- www.adayinmylife.net -Happy Urbancachers-

Thank you all for your input! I'm gonna stay out of the way of USPS boxes for now. There are plenty of other places to hide things in a city. -Happy Urbancachers-

I am planning to create a little urbancaching competition in LA (See my earlier post here) and I am thinking to place some magnets on USPS mailboxes (among others). After what happened in rural parts of Illinois and Iowa I am wondering if it is still a good idea? Any advice? Thank you. -Happy Urbancachers-

Welcome to the club! Just started 2 months ago and I think I am now hooked for a long time! I have a yellow Etrex from Garmin. Works fine for me.

Urbancaching in Los Angeles. Any volunteers?

Thanks to all the answers here and directly to my email address Remember if you want to participate you will have to be in the Los Angeles area. There will be no boxes just small magnets to find. You will get points when you find them and a specific puzzle to create with these magnets (on your fridge?). Anyway I need to think more about the details and how could I use this great website for this game. -

I had this idea after reading a post about not enough caches in the wilderness. Because I like more caching in the city (sorry! ) I would like to do a little caching in LA but with no boxes. Only small items to find with points you would get when you find one item (I like also competition). I know it is not exactly the 'geocaching' spirit but if there are a few volunteers to participate I am ready to place these microcaches in LA for us to have some fun. If you have other ideas we can make it even better!

we need more WILDERNESS CACHES and less URBAN CACHES
tatoeba replied to KD7MXI's topic in West and Southwest
Actually I think it would be nice to have more caches in cities. I don't always feel like driving far and hiking. In Los Angeles where I live there would be plenty of space to 'geocache'. I guess the only problem are the size of the boxes to hide. They might be too big (even microcaches) to have a lot of them in your area. Enough rambling!! -
