Thank you so much for the thoughtful mission full of goodies for us, as well as, the pups! I tried getting a picture of Harvey and Elwood with their treats, but they were just too excited...jumping all around with tails wagging!! We have a few of the National Park arrowhead coins, but we didn't have this one. I'm happy to be adding it to our collection. Best of luck with your quest to hike the Appalachian Trail; it sounds like a grand adventure and awesome goal!

I received a gift: 12/08/2020 from San Antonio TX!Just emailed the USPS tracking number to Claire for my mission to Canada. After no updates since Dec 25, finally some movement today. I had hoped the radio silence was because it had left the US, but no such luck.... at least it's in Jamaica, NY though! Gotta be close!
Original estimate for arrival was in the week of 12/14... now 27 days on the road for a trip the almighty Google says should take a little over 8hrs to drive... if only Canada would let me in!
Lil Liveanimals opened her mission and was blessed with an awesome scrabblehounds gift (pics coming soon)!! We heard rumors of these things and it was awesome for her to get one in person!
My package is still staring at me, mocking, as I'm refusing to open it in solidarity for my geocaching mission partner - as soon as my package gets there, I'll open the one for me!

However, according to tonight"s communique, it has moved 31 miles... In the wrong direction!! It's taken 9 days to move that far south and I'm hoping it's now in an USPS facility for international travel, and NOT that they're just taking the extreme scenic route to Canada.

Apparently the reports of stagnant post offices are true. A week later and I believe both our packages are still somewhere in our home state. Last movement on the one going across the country was Wednesday ("In transit" with no other location - WAS originally due by the 15th!) and todays update on the northbound one confirms it hasn't moved far...
According to the almighty Google, I could drive the one north in a little over 8 hrs, so... step it up, USPS!
JK - I know they're working hard and the recent snow didn't help. Send positive waves to speed them along!

Both outgoing missions are on their way and incoming have safely arrived! So far, have been successful in convincing Lil we should wait to open until Christmas but not sure how long that wall will hold!

The Great Pumpkin (ok, it was me!) proclaimed "Today be the day! No more waiting!" and we opened our missions - thanks Cobraleader312 and our illustrious leader GeoCharmer81 for the most excellent packages! Lil Liveanimals' school mascot is the hedgehog and she loved both coins - Mrs Liveanimals' maiden name is Lackey and I have a few of the annual coins but held off a few years (including 2018!) so that was a fortuitous gift.

Happy almost Easter everyone! Grateful one of our missions is complete - the other did get sent and it appears I was overly optimistic when it got to Germany rather quickly. Passed customs Monday but that's where the trail goes cold... Hope it gets to you soon. Stay safe and wash your hands!
