  1. I was wondering if anyone new where a good place for a 100+ cache day?

Palm Springs, Las Vegas, The NO CLUE Series, The Tarot Series, Sacramento, Lancaster. Just check the KWVERS!'s logs..they do it all the time. :( .

    Yeah...what they said. :D

What is the NO CLUE series and the Tarot Series.

Look at the caches in the Lancaster,Calif. area for the No Clue Series and a bit west for The Tarot series.

Make sure it is a cool day

  2. We need a TNG #1 - The Kiss of Midnight to complete our current collection which is meager to say the less...Any contributions or trades would be appreciated...We may have a few duplicates..e-mail us for more info

Best bet would be to go back to page No. 27 of this thread and start tracking

down TNG #1 placements mentioned there. Might be a lot of detective work.

Often Yrium cards are taken without being mentioned in a finder's log entry.

The other thing is ... didn't Gecko Dad place his entire set of Yrium cards

into a Geocache at the top of some far-away peak? I'm sure that there's

mention of that on one of the pages of this Forum Thread.

Now if you are really desperate and foolishly hopeful ... two or three years

ago I saw one or two Yrium cards on display amongst a collector's set of

things taken from Geocaches shown at the Del Mar Fair. The display actually

had an award ribbon ... like third place. You know, next year .... :o

In my own case the Devhead red-stapler misprint is at the top of my Yrium

card wish-list. As far as I know that's the only missing card in my otherwise

complete set. Well, except that I have copies rather than originals of the

    Yrium's Pals series. O yeah, there's the two actual-misprint misprint-cards

missing from my set as well.

No doubt that there's other misprints that were done before I started collect-

ing and so I'm not aware of them. Maybe it's best that I don't know if there

are other holes in my set of cards.

    Perfect ain't possible.

Ask and ye shall receive. I will make a point of placing some of the needed cards in a cache near you soon...

Just a thought, but maybe you could place some of the Kiss of Midnight cards in The Kiss of Midnight, kind of an extra reward for those who complete that most excellent cache!... :)

hmmm. I haven't done the Kiss of Midnight cache yet...I'll do some added research too as to where I may find a few cards..I'll be watching!

  3. We found our 13,000th cache today and it seems like just yesterday that we saw our first log..We even took a picture of it at the time.

    October 13, 2005 by kwvers! (13000 found)

My first official cache find! My friend Big Ron has introduced our family to a new and exciting way to burn off some extra fat we have been adding to our waist-line during our vacation from California. We are looking forward to our future finds and new friends and laughs we are sure to find at geocaching.SL TFTC,Jn3:16

So this is what a log looks like.Got a pencil?

  4. Hi everyone Hootie and I have completed our oh so great year of being deployed and we are back Caching again. I put out accounts together since we are getting married and we are now the Huitrados We are 2 for 4 right now and have 9 Travel Bugs to place this week from our adventures on our deployment. Tiki Turtle from Tahiti was placed the other day. Glad to be back and maybe we will get the chance to see some of you out and about.

:) Welcome home and thanks for your service! Bonita huh? Lots of caches out there. Don't listen to what SD Rowdies says.........I'll have to place a few more caches to keep him off the forums...

    Congrats on the upcoming wedding!

Welcome back for sure! We have some ideas for Harmon too!

  5. I was wondering if they changed the forums or is are computer messed up?

0002014F.gifMust be your computer , they still look the same to me.

We have been having problems seeing the current logs for the forums when we sign on to a new forum...When we click the arrow for the most recent log all we get are the beginning logs from 2004 etc...To correct this we have manually imputed the last page of the total pages available for the forum...glad we not alone

  6. So how does this work? Do you collect them and trade them? Also how do you have them made for you?

It's all in here: Yrium Udesignit TB

That's awesome. I hope we can get it when you drop it because I have a person in mind.

In that case do start thinking about a layout theme and making sure that a lot of high-

resolution source images are available to support the intended theme. Be careful what

you wish for 'cause sponsoring an Yrium card is not so different from planning and

    producing a wedding album.

Yeah, and wait until you get the bill ... sticker shock. (No charge actually, just the pain of

working with a couple of serious graphic designers.)

Arrrgh, mateys! Pegleg Pete has been rescued! The journey was long an' arduous, but led by our fearless Cap'n and Quartermaster, we succeeded! They're better storytellers, so we'll let them tell our tale...

  9. However, we're SURE we don't have nearly as many as you do, however, again, I think we've passed you in the dnf race, but aren't close to the current champions in that catagory :laughing:

I'll check our stats later, for now, I'm taking the 'gimp' on a bikeride around Miramar Res. :anitongue:

    Splashette :)

I'm up to 471 on the DNF count.

Chuy must have the most FTF's but we have the most FWAL...Found With A Lifeline

  10. I'm really new to the geocaching thing. ...

    Welcome aboard guys.

Until you get a GPS, try Google-Earth - it's relatively accurate, especially using visual landmarks.

Over on the San Diego Cache Events thread, Diego cachers will post planned outings. Look for events; it's a good place to meet cachers in person and develop networking.

Thought we would share where we were today:

    See GC1jerg for details:

  11. We received some sad news from Armynate this week: "Lostguy" suffered a stroke...on Wednesday I believe....just a few days after our 50 mile bike ride to Ensenada :D . He was still in the hospital today, but may be moving to a rehab facility soon. I will call his wife to see if there is a phone number...or if he is allowed visitors. I don't have details many details, but will try to find out. With all of San Diego geocachers pulling for him I know he'll make a full recovery. He might not be as fast on the uphills for awhile, but his son said he can stand now which sounds like great news. Lets's keep Dick in our thoughts and prayers......

Prayers going up! I'm sure that all that know Dick are geared up and ready for action to help in any way we can. Thanks for the 411

  12. I'm a big dipper - I just love to dip. Sometimes I dip, well more like a Dump our entire collection of coins in an event...

If I like a cache I might dip a couple...

Like if I found it - I dip our Found it coin.

If it's an evil micro - I dip our evil micro.

I dump in events to log the history of the collection... Course it floods the cache page TB history log too... Another bonus..

I do not dip for miles... I don't dip for numbers. I just like to dip. I even like to skinny dip... Dipp'n is just what I do...That's it!

It's all about the Journey to us. Just shut up and Dip... LOL That's a phrase from a fishing and shrimping club we belong to... Never new it had other applications.. See life is like a box of Chocolates after all.

Well, I'm dipp'n (another term for leaving to go someplace).

We have carried two coins with us that belong to other cachers and have dipped them to share our caching adventures with them. After about 25,000 miles each we released one and placed the other so that the owner could get it...We enjoy watching the journeys of trackables that mean something to us,.

  13. Congrats to whoever makes the next post!! Top of page AND 14000!

(on edit - oops, i guess 14001 will be top of page!)

    WoooooooHooooooooooo!!!

Congrats to FlagMan on post 14,000! Hey check out this geocaching video!

 Way cool! But Mrs. KWVERS! told a white lie She said "we cache once or twice a week". Don''t you mean once or twice a day..like before lunch and after lunch and again after dinner?

    Funny!

Um er um...Did Mrs. Kwver say cache or hike 3:44 into the video?...What she should of said is "if we have to, we will hike one or two times a week." The definition of a hike for us is more that .10
