  1. Also make sure "Activity" is set to "Direct Routing".
  2. I had a similar probelm and realized I had a setting wrong in my Montana. Go into "Setup", select "Routing". In Activity make sure it is set to "Direct Routing" and Lock On Road is set to "No". Please let me know what your settings were. Thanks
  3. Tried it again and what I have noticed is when I navigate to a cache and get within about 150 feet of it the Montana thinks I found it and stops navigating. BUT, if I hit the Geocache icon and see the list of geocache that are near me I can watch the footage distance and navigate down until I am on top of it. But, hitting go will not navigate down to about under 150 feet. Make sense? Could there be a setting I do not have set correctly?
  4. I would really like any ideas why the "Distance to Destination" field does not work properly. Any thoughts?
  5. I would really like any ideas why the "Distance to Destination" field does not work properly. Any thoughts?
  6. Not sure if this is related to the latest update or not but here is the problem(s). When geocaching in Map mode one of the fields I have selected is "Distance to Destination". The distance shown seems to vary to much and sometimes locks up. Or it will go to "0" and stay on that. However if I go to the page where it list geocahces by distance the footage DOES work properly and change as I move around. Another problem was I could not get the GPS to NOT lock on roads. When I selected to not lock on roads it would mysteriously change back during my navigating. Sometimes it did and sometimes not. I did a reset (hold down upper left corner while starting) and that did not make any difference. Any thoughts?
  7. Sometimes when I turn on my Montana 650T (V4.10) it does not have any waypoints or geocaches in it. The files are there and the only way to get them back is to reset (finger on top left corner while booting). Any thoughts?
  8. I've done the update several times yet when I go to "About" in settings it says I still have version 4.04. Any thoughts?
  9. I have the latest version and it slows my computer down so much I can not take it. It takes minutes just to redraw the map when I zoom in and out. Anyone else have this issue? Any ideas on speeding it up? Thanks.
  10. I can not find this update on Garmin's website. Have a link?
  11. Does a hard reset wipe out waypoints and custom POI's? Or anything else?
  12. Yes, I have enabled WAAS, and I am also not receiving "D's" on any of the active signal bars. I also have the same issue, no "D's" and WAAS is enabled.
  13. What are the steps to check for this "D"? I can not find it.
  14. What is the current version of the NON beta update for the Montana 650T?
  15. Before they ban GPS's they need to ban blondes in SUV's talking on the cell phone.
  16. Double check your Geocaching routing setting and make sure it is set to Direct Routing. Just a thought.
  17. That is a good question. I would like to know also.

  19. But then I can not have the map card in correct?
  20. If I delete some stuff on the Montana like help files or language files will that increase the amount of space for waypoints, POI's, ETC.?
  21. Before my Montana 650 I used a 76CS with Mapsource to geocache, route, and transfer waypoints, ETC. What Software works best with the Montana? I purchased City Navigator NT on the SD card and have it installed in the unit but would prefer to also see the maps on a PC screen. Say I want to create a dozen waypoints on a map, then create a route using those waypoints, what computer software works best? Thanks
  22. I have a Montana 650t and I purchased a City Navigator micro SD card. Right now the card is in the unit. Do I have to leave the card in it for the map to be there? Or is there a way to transfer the map from the SD card to some kind of internal memory?
  23. Does anyone use an external antenna? Just wondering if using an external antenna would get a more accurate signal? Presently I am using a Montana 650t. Thanks,
