  1. I did, I was on the siltstone and some of Scotts Gap. I was able to find ten caches and hike over six miles, all in all it was a good day for caching.

5.8 miles for me around Paul Yost's Yellow trail finding 6 caches along the way. A great day of hiking with caching to boot. Thinking about Scotts Gap area maybe this Saturday.

Scotts Gap is a fun area to do some caching, I have had trouble with some of the take a hike series, but all in all it's a good hike.

  2. This a place for Kentucky area geocacher's to chat. <_<

Hi I am new to this chat area. But I just placed a cache in the louisville area and was wondering how long it takes to be reviewed? Who does the reviewing?

    HR11

Most of my caches have been reviewed by Bluegrass Reviewer. As for long it takes to be reviewed, most of the time about 2-4 days. Sometimes faster and also sometimes slower, but like I said it should take only a few days. :)

  3. Howdy all!

I'm a part-time cacher who has finally got more time to get involved in it! With any lucky, I'll be a full-time cacher soon. I've only gotten a few sites, mostly with my Dad. My Dad got me hooked on geocaching up in Michigan.

I live in Carrollton, which is halfway between Louisville and Cincinnati, and on the western border of the state.

Anyone have special tips or advice to share on KY caching?

Hi, Kentucky_Buccaneer! Now a good tip on KY caching, at lest I think so, is watch out for caches hidden by Show Me The Cache. Some can be easy, but most of them are hard, at lest for me they were.

  4. The Groundspeak Forums run on a separate server from the Geocaching.com website. You have to go to the "Entering the Forums" page to update your account information so that it carries over from the website to the forums. This is true regardless of whether you've changed from regular to premium or premium to regular, if you've just modified your signature line, or if you've chosen a new avatar.

Well, I have done that already and I have log out and then back on. But that still does not work, so I'm all out of ideas on what to do.

Logged out of your account or out of the forums? Try logging out of the forums.

I've tried that a few times.

  6. My Premium Membership expired about a month ago, but I can still go to the off-topic and in the groups part of my avatar it stills says Premium Member. But all my other Premium Membership benefits went away when my membership expired, so can someone get this fix?

  7. He's BACK! Yes, I snuck out to go to the Kentuckiana Meet & Greet yesterday.

Left Mark with all his provisions for the day and headed out to the Kentuckiana Meet and Greet. Did a little caching with WCNUT and Neos2. Now you know I called and checked on Mark several times. About 2:30 my call was unanswered. Told the crew that we needed to head back to check on Mark. I knew the meds were kicking in and he had either made it to the bathroom, hot tub or was lying on the floor unable to get up.

My strong feeling was correct, he had made it to the hot tub where the warm water and jets and allowed his muscles for release. When I got home, he was mobile. Hit the hot tub a couple of more time and took a shower. Now can any of you guess what his next request was? That's right, let's stop at a few caches on the way to Chuck's post meet and greet dinner.

His back is still quite crooked but he is able to move around with the help of a cane. Okay, it's not really a cane. It's s short hiking stick. Some things never change.

Thanks for everyone's concern. He is definately on his way back!

    Cool!
