  1. I think I fixed my own problem. On the Colorado - G:/GPX/CURRENT/ a file was created "Current" that contained conflicting geocache information for some of the caches. I erased the "Current" files and reloaded my cache GPX files into the G:/GPX/ directory. The problem might have occured when I loaded my FOUND caches to the Colorado without using the POILoader. Scratch
  2. On my Colorado half of my traditional caches appear as "green box icons" and the others appear as "treasure chests". When you go into geocache mode all of them are on the list, but if you select a "treasure chest cache" neither the compass nor direction line/distance function activates. I have only have title/description and the half map. To start ,I cleared all my points off of the GPS and did a straight C:/ hard drive copy to Colorado "Prime Drive":/Garmin/GPX/ of both the *.gpx and *-wpts.gpx files. Am I loading my points across the wrong way? And are there other people that have the same problem? Scratch - Scratch-n-Win
  3. WOW, thanks! Okay, I have the unit in hand, I held OK it came up with a WHERE AM I screen like you said, how do I get the cursor to jump up into that LAST KNOWN LOCATION field? ) WIN Of course it's much, much easier to enter coordinates with a computer, but if you want to do it by hand, press and hold the OK button. This marks your current position. Then edit the position to the cache coordinates and name it something cachelike before you save it. Jamie
  4. Hi there, a friend of mine got a Garmin Quest Can you please tell me quickly how to program it to go geocaching? I mean, entering in coordinates manually? Thanks WIN

  14. Very sad news indeed. We first met 1701eh and his son Cruise448788 on March 11, 2006 when we were caching. We talked for quite a while and then they continued on to the cache they needed and we went on to another one. We got got go to his event QUARK's on June 3, 2006 and didn't really get to talk to him (afterall he was hosting it). We had a really good time though! Our final meeting with him was at Harvestfest 2006 on August 26, 2006. He came up to us and talked to us for quite a while. We were showing him our geocoin collection and he became super excited when he spotted a FEDERATION GEOCOIN. We knew he loved Star Trek very much, so who else could we trade geocoins with for that one. His face lit up when we handed it over to him. It's a good last memory to have of him. We are still in shock and very saddened over this great loss. He will be missed very much! We are pulling for Sue (for a speedy recovery) & the rest of the family! They are in our thoughts and prayers!! Scratch-n-Win
