I have made 2 mighty fine sticks. One I took out of the closet so I have about a 6 foot wooden walking stick that is quite sturdy and it has the marks of cloths hangers on it. :-) the other wasn't quite so elaborate. I took the broom portion off the broom handle and I have been using that for nearly 2 years. real fancy. :-) Glenn

What New Features Would Entice You...
*gln replied to southdeltan's topic in General geocaching topics
Sorry if this has already been mentioned but I think adding a "family membership" level would be nice. -
Here is a map for the Rock Island District.

At this point, what would be good enough and what would "set thing right"? Glenn

http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...5b-c156c32296bb it is about 501 feet from the school.... or at least the address that the school uses. It does look closed than 500 feet in an areal photo. -
And another one.... http://www.modbee.com/local/story/9349649p-10256059c.html rats, i cant move this post to the current thread. sorry. gln

I remember the great time everyone had last year and cant wait for this one. I bet the teams are already forming to compete.

Then there is always the Missouri Geocachers Association

The servers have been taking a beating with DoS attacks. Filters have been put in place so, there should be much less of a problem. That is what I am hoping anyway.. glenn

People are flocking here faster than we imagined. Seems to be working pretty well so far. Lots of KC and Kansas folks hang out here so far.

Yep, It was the SLAGA http://www.GeoStl.com bunch that did that. We went on a dandy hike that took all day. Pictures of the whole deal are here. http://share-adobe.shutterfly.com/action/s...as2G-&sm=0&sl=0

BINGO!! Or because the reviewer didnt catch it the 1st time around. :-) I think I need to go change some caches now. glenn

THAT would be great. I have 8 PQ's running just to update all the Kansas and Missouri active and disabled caches . Then drag into GASK to updata the data bases. It would be grrrreat if I could make this a one click operation somehow. Glenn

Thanks Clearpath!!! I clearly need to get "more visible". :-) (BTW: your check is in the mail ) glenn the Missouri & Kansas guy. And a big cheer goes to the team back in the office. Good work.

"Come to the forums and you too can see the place where they can actually beat a dead horse to life." Thats pretty unique, interesting, lots of WOW every time I cant believe that they just keep going on and on. Can I make the whole forum a virtual cache? LOL
-
I believe that you can remove any information from your profile that you want. You can edit out everything and leave a blank profile. you can also change your name to something less identifiable. I guess you could also delete your cache logs but that would be as silly as placing a cache 4500 miles from home. You found them and enjoyed finding them and was having a good time untill you were told that the rule of no caches outside of your normal caching area really did apply to you too. Bottom line: I believe that you can remove what you need removed.

TINYSpell might work for 'ya. It is not as slick as iSpell, but it does work. tinySpell was developed by KEDMI Scientific Computing who is also the developer of Numerit – an intuitive programming environment for developing numerical computation programs and producing publication-quality technical documents. You can visit Numerit’s web-site by selecting the item http://www.numerit.com. This is also the web-site for downloading tinySpell and its updates.

From the info on the www.MoGeo.com page: "Ozark Mtn Geocachers Down in Southwestern Missouri we have the Ozark Mountain Geocachers. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ozmtngeocachers/ Their group is made of members from both Arkansas and Missouri. They operate a Yahoo newsgroup and website. Send mail to Jeepers2 at Nick@MoGeo.com with questions or comments about the Ozark Mtn Geocachers " I bet you can find a few folks down there. glenn
