Got my hands on some Geowoodstock VI coins. These are really unique with a lenticular design on the back. I'm listing them two ways...
or
I also still have...
Let me know if you have any questions, or if there are any other gc.com trackables you're looking for from 2004-2006ish. I've got lots.

The best places to hear official progress reports on the officiial geocaching app for android are to check on Josh Lytle's and OpinioNate's posts in these forums, and to follow Geocaching on Facebook and Twitter. The last word from Josh is that his team is putting the finishing touches on the app so it can move to beta testing.
Who is the best person to contact to find out if we can beta test? I'd be excited to help.

Do you want to discuss the TOU? He added a link to the gc.com usage agreement and informed people that they are accessing the gc.com site. Is that good enough? Isn't a usage agreement meant for usage by users not developers? I reported this thread to the admin and I was wondering what Groundspeak would do. I guess I agree with Groundspeak's methods. Just to be clear, if I use the app, I as a paid member am in violation of the TOU?Keystone,
Just curious, why have you gone through this thread and remov
ed all mentions of the app we've been discussing?
PS Looks like ya missed one. :-)
I made the edits at Groundspeak's request. The application in question violates the Geocaching.com Terms of Use Agreement. It provides automated access to the geocaching.com website without permission from Groundspeak. Groundspeak is currently working with the developer to resolve this issue. In the interim, we are asking that this application not be promoted in the Groundspeak discussion forums.
Are you addressing me? I did not realize that the discussion of that app violated the TOU which is why I was asking Keystone about his actions. He explained it after I wrote the above, and I understand now.

I just read through this entire thread. And my question is whether anyone has contacted Groundspeak recently (i.e. this year) to ask about the Android app. For now I am using GeoBeagle and I like it fine, but I'd like to see something similar to the iPhone app where it automagically shows you what's near you. I watched Marky do this recently and I was soooo envious. Of course at the time I had a Treo 700p, which of course has no GPS capabilities. NOW I have a Nexus One. And I would love to see it in action with a Groundspeak app!
Yes. Check the dates
Thanks, yes, I saw the update from November. I was asking if there was any newer news. And I see that there is (thanks to ardoreal for posting it; I follow Groundspeak (gogeocaching) on Twitter but I missed that!).
I guess until it's released, I'll poke around some more with GeoBeagle.

I haven't seen anything about this but please forgive me if it's a repeat. I'm having super slowness when trying to run and edit queries along a route. I've been waiting for half an hour now for a page to load. All other webpages are working fine.
Any ideas what's going on?
Firefox 3.5 on Windows Vista... Also can't even get to the site at all in IE. Have now been waiting for almost an hour on that page load....

7 Dollars to ship one coin to the UK
Is this actually the true figure, or a standard cost you put in pending how much it will cost when weighed?
Okay, I just revised the weight of most of the items (except for the very heavy ones and the ones which already have bids), which should make the shipping cost more reasonable.

Hmm, that sounds high. It is supposed to be calculated based on the weight of the coin, but maybe I need to check that. Which coin was that?

<Removed link to non trackables>
Ooops... Sorry FSM... I didn't realize I had one non-trackable in there. I guess I'll link to the trackables individually -- would that be okay?

I came to this thread after not being in the forums for quite a while, because I was wondering about the mystery Goofy coins. My sons each found one independently at GW6, one on the ground and one near one of the kids' letterboxes at the event. We're wondering who Goofy is... These are pretty nifty coins.
I was also a lucky recipient of a Geocaching Bug coin, which is pretty neat.

Time to upgrade those servers. Long past due.
They did upgrade eveything a while back and as far as I can remember, I've never had problems getting into the site. In the past, the site went down nearly every Sunday night. I'm thinking this is just everyone logging all of their GW6 caches.
Glad I logged mine on the Treo as I went along. I did want to log some trackables tonight; I got one in and then I was getting the error page, argh!

I just noticed everyone wearing jackets. That has got to be a first for a GW event!
El Diablo
It had rained earlier in the day. We really lucked out for the event though. Cloudy, pleasant temperature, and just a few drops here and there. Never drizzle or rain!
