  1. I have now followed the procedure suggested by Hynr and this appears to have worked successfully in that the latest 5 logs are showing in a sample selection of caches I have checked. Thanks to all who have contributed help.
  2. I have checked and I don't appear to have any older .gpx files left on the Dakota which would overlap with my latest PQ. I can only think of deleting all .gpx files and starting again. However, I need to wait till Tuesday as I am geocaching today and tomorrow.
  3. Hi mineral2. Thanks for your reply. Are you saying that if a certain cache loaded on to the Dakota from a previous PQ exists and I download another PQ which contains the same cache due to a geographical overlap, then the new PQ will not overwrite the existing cache?
  4. Hi, Yes it's a new PQ which I ran yesterday. If I view the preview on the PC and click on a certain cache the full up-to-date logs are there, but they are only partially loading on to the Dakota GPSr.
  5. Thanks for your reply. I deleted the relevant .gpx files from the Garmin and re-loaded them by copying as you suggest. Unfortunately the latest logs are still missing. I have been using the Dakota 10 for many years and not had this problem before.
  6. I have generated a pocket query, unzipped it and sent to to my Garmin Dakota 10 using EasyGPS. However, only the older logs are showing on the device - the latest logs are missing. I still have 500MB of space left on the Garmin. All the ohter info about the caches seems to be there, just the newest logs have not downloaded to the device. Any help much appreciated, thanks.
  7. Although I did not receive an email notification of your test post, DoubleBent, I did today receive an automatic email triggered by someone logging my geopin in another cache. (Email pasted below) [You are receiving this email because you are the owner of this listing. Location: Northern Scotland, United Kingdom Alpha Gang placed Geotees Trackapin Balloon (Geotees Trackapin) in Lord Reith and the Mystery of the 100 Steppies! at 10/23/2011 Log Date: 10/23/2011 Dropped in Lord Reith and the Mystery of the 100 Steppies!] So it seems sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
  8. Thank you for posting a note about the geopin, DoubleBent. Unfortunately it did not result in me receiving an automatic email.
  9. I'm going to post a note on your geopin. You should receive email from that post. (Later I'll delete my note.)
  10. Thank you all for the comments. I don't think any geocaching.com emails have gone into the spam folders but will re-check this when another movement of the geopin occurs. @ The Blorenges: the photo of the geopin is indeed a generic photo and the almost readable number is not the true number of my own trackable. However, to avoid confusion I have reloaded the picture with the number eradicated.
  11. This may be an obvious question, but I have been unable to find how to receive an email notification when a trackable which I own is logged into or out of a cache. I can do it with other people's trackables but not my own. Have I missed something here?
  12. Thanks Jaz666. Looks like this fits the bill
  13. Any suggestions for an easy-ish cache in Scarborough overlooking the sea and big enough for a TB? I have to deposit a travel bug close to water this Bank Holiday Monday. Preferably one not too muggly with it being bank holiday. Cheers
