  1. One of my other interests outside of Geocaching is Micronations and how they run. I actually had an opportunity to tour one of these micronations a few year back called "Sealand." I paid 30 pounds to become a (non-binding) "Lord" of this little nation and now represent it in Geocaching! "Rovers" I think because I wanted a name that meant wandering around and I searched some football team names. I could have just as easily made my name "Sealand Wanderers" if I spotted that word first.
  2. Welcome! I just use a GPS app on my smartphone which works just fine. When I started I was just putting the co-ords into google maps and relying on previois logs/hints to get me closer to GZ. The hunt certainly was a lot more annoying fun until I got the app. Once i'm ready for some extreme Geocaching i'll buy a GPS, but until then the app is fine
  3. 100 feet is nowhere near good enough. 10 metres (what's that.... 35 feet?) could be, but most caches I've found have been within about 5 metres/17 feet of the co-ords
  4. Pretty cool seeing something like this happen. I have not come across anything like this in Australia, but if I did I would be a bit worried scrounging around the property of a stranger. If it was an event or someone I knew and I had some form of invitation (I know the existence of a cache could be an invitation in itself) it would be different, but otherwise yeh.. weird
