  1. Tiny superman arrived about a week ago. I think he was scoping out the place to see if it was safe for the Super Mystery Coin. I guess it is because look what I sent myself! My CRS disease is getting worse I guess because I really can't recall sending it. Many thanks to the Super duper mystery coiner who again made my day!
  2. Wow! Congratulations to all the new Super Cachers! That Super Mystery Person sure is getting around these days!
  3. i am totally puzzled as to why a coin from michigan destined for europe would have to go to mexico city first. so very odd. You and me both! It must have gotten tossed in the wrong bag. Usually from Chicago they go overseas. Once I had a priority package go to Atlanta and sit for 10 days before being sent to St Louis. It must have be pony express.
  4. I think if the tracking had showed it stuck somewhere in Austria or Germany or nearby I would have let the activation ride. But I'm in Michigan and the coin went to Chicago then Atlanta and then to Mexico City. I used ebay/paypal shipping so I know it had the correct address. The tracking has shown nothing since Dec 18. It would be nice if it made it back to me but I'm not holding my breath.
  5. I had other problems with bubble mailers I sent in early December. Usually for me sending to Germany takes 7-10 days. One of them took 7 weeks. I also get the tracking all along the way including delivery when sent to Germany. It is included with the First Class International on the customs form but that isn't true for all countries I have sent to. This is an ebay sale so there are a few other things at stake too. Also paypal may say the buyer has 6 months to ask for a refund but they only allow the seller to refund for 60 days. It's a very bad policy for a seller. After 60 days you have to use the Send Money feature. That means the seller loses the paypal fees after already losing the ebay fees. In this case there are also currency conversion fees. He contacted me very early this am and the refund link was still available. After making my calls I went to paypal to do the refund and that link was not available so I had to spend time on the phone with paypal and explain the situation. They did the refund but I haven't yet received the credit. The buyer emailed me back to thank me for a quick response. LOL I needed to or it would cost me more money and I am going out of town to meet my new grandson and didn't want it hanging over my head. But now I have to submit all the documents for the insurance claim. I did decide to activate it. I really believe that somewhere in Mexico someone is admiring my coin. If it does show up in Austria then I hope that we can agree on a price and I will adopt it over to him. It's very tough with international mailing like this.
  6. I figured out big and bold but how do you make it red? Especially in the title?
  7. Ah 3 for 3 is unanimous! Great minds think alike Several years ago I suggested to Rivercacher that he do just that after losing several to Europe so I'm not too sure why I hesitated.
  8. Background: I sold a great coin (GCF 2014 event coin) to a person in Europe on Dec 12. The tracking showed it first went to Chicago as usual but then went to Mexico City. It "left" there on Dec 18 per the tracking number and hasn't been seen since. The buyer contacted me very early this am to tell me he never got it. I had to contact paypal to get the refund to him as they said it was over the 60 day limit. I had insurance on it and have filed a claim so I will have to wait to see if that is approved. Now for my question. Do you activate the "lost" coins after you refund the money? (I actually think that someone pocketed it along the way in Mexico City as I've been told the Mexican postal system is notorious for losing mail.) I think that right now it is actually my coin where ever it is but after the insurance pays me or if they do then they would be the owner.
  9. Email Sent: 1-19-15 Name Received: 1-21-15 Mission Sent: 2-3-15 Mission Arrived at Destination: 2-7-15 Mission Received: 2-9-15 My mission arrived! I received an absolutely gorgeous coin from 3-super! Red is my favorite color (great for Valentine's day) and my birthstone is diamond so this is the perfect coin for me! Thanks so much I really love this coin. Special message to Claire. The card has an eagle on it!
  10. The coins end in a little more than 7 hours from this post. Thanks to all you have bid or will bid as all of you are helping! Here is a link to the trackable Warrior coin. It is actived but the mystery coiner adopted it to me and I will adopt it out to the winner. The Warrior Mystery Coin.
  11. Coins has been sold. Thanks for all the offers!
  12. I think what you've done so far is great! I also would wait as you are doing to see if the coin owner wants something specific done with the coin. I had one go missing and turn up a couple of years later. I asked the cacher to mail it back to me and paid the postage. He may want something like that or maybe he will say just put it into another cache. Most likely someone had it and just recently found it. They dropped it in a cache anonymously to get it going again. Great job! Also great job coming here to ask about it! Welcome to the geocoin forum!
  13. I have been selling a friend's coin collection on ebay on and off for awhile now. I just pulled out another small bag and found a Raine v1 coin. These coins are pretty hard to find and rarely change hands for what I have been told. I posted it on facebook last night. I don't go there a lot so decided I would also post it here. Raine is aware that the coin is for sale. For those of you who don't know, Raine is lackey #4. He's a very, very nice guy too. He likes to play poker as you can tell! It is trackable and unactivated. It is in black nickel and is about 2" tall. My friend said she would take offers for the next couple of days. We have an offer already of $50. Email me through my profile if you would like to make another offer.
  14. I love that coin and have been looking for the Carpe Diem mystery coin for what seems like forever. I'm sure it will sell for more than I ever could afford to pay for it... but PLEASE don't ever cut one in half to see the inside of the coin... my heart would be broken in half knowing that happened. I think you should check out the mystery coins I have listed this week. Start with the trackable Warrior coin and go from there. The Warrior Mystery Coin

  19. Send it to me and I'd be happy to figure it out! I'll pay the postage too!!!!
  20. Before the big game starts tomorrow you might want to check out the coins! Here a link to a trackable set that is hard to find. http://www.ebay.com/itm/301507277608?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649

There is a Carpe Diem in that box! Watch for it to be listed in the next few days....
  22. I haven't received one but I also haven't send out my mission either. I picked out my card but not the coin. BUT I can say with certainty that if mine arrives before Valentines Day I will not be waiting to open it!
  23. Nice coin! But I took a look and it said no shipping options to the US.
