  1. Give it a swift kick and see what happens. If the #2 pencil is the most popular, why is it still #2?
  2. I live on Sullivans Island, SC. A barrier Island near Charleston SC. Down the street is Fort Moultrie, the fort Major Anderson left to gather at Fort Sumter in Charleston's harbor. The War started in my native city, Charleston, SC. Many, many sites around here concerning the Civil War. A virtual is already at Fort Sumter http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?ID=18579. Let me know if I can be any help with your plans. If the #2 pencil is the most popular, why is it still #2?
  3. Parts of the South-East has been under drought conditions. I am planning to visit the Asheville , NC region for the Fall color and for some caching. What effect will the the drought have on the color? Any one in Asheville or surrounding area care to give a color report? Will be in the area mid October. Many thanks. If the #2 pencil is the most popular, why is it still #2?
  4. Cache 5 of 5. Not bad for a 1st time out. The team is really catching on quick. We found this one in less than 30 seconds! We got lots of looks from other people as we dug around but they were so shocked when we pulled the cache out of the grass! Took nothing, left nothing. Great little park. Dad remarried here. Go Team Monkey!!!!! If the #2 pencil is the most popular, why is it still #2?
  5. I heard the terrible news on THE HOWARD STERN SHOW radio show. I switched the television on just in time to see the second plane impacting. A horrible sight. If the #2 pencil is the most popular, why is it still #2?
  6. Simpson, Jamie Z provided a fellow cacher with a link on a similar thread. Check his 9-5-02 (1:30 pm) reply. Third paragraph down. http://opentopic.Groundspeak.com/0/OpenTopic?a=tpc&s=1750973553&f=3000917383&m=9860914235 If the #2 pencil is the most popular, why is it still #2?
  7. This has nothing to do with locationless caches. It has everything to do about cheating. The question should be: Why would anyone cheat at this game? It would take a petty person to do such a thing. Cheated? Yes, but the locationless cache made me do it. If the #2 pencil is the most popular, why is it still #2? 14. quote: Again, my point is WHY place a cache around broken glass when you have lots of other safer loations? My point would be... Why go to a place with broken glass when you have lots of other safer locations? It was your option to visit this cache. Perhaps this cache is a good canidate for cache in trash out. Thanks!
  15. If you happen to be in the Florida Keys, spot the two blimps that frequent the sky on a regular basis. Weather observation? Spying on Cuba? Big brother in the sky? I got many answers.
  16. Brad, this site has a program ( expertgps ) that may help. Good luck. www.topografix.com [This message was edited by civilwarranger on July 17, 2002 at 07:43 AM.]
  17. Don't forget to drop off Gran Mammy's dentures. Perhaps make them into a travel bug. It would be great to see how many mouths they end up in. Really, you would be amazed how many toothless head people that would be grateful for such a cache. As a requirement to log, a picture with gps of you with your new teeth. Say cheese. 18. You would like a image under your name that is to the left here. Visit the main page, select Change your account information. A little half way down you will see Choose a photo/upload any images yet?. Once that is done, you can select your Avatar below that. That image will represent you on the forum boards. I hope this helps. Have a great rest of the day.

  20. If you know where the four corners of your property are, get the coordinates and enter them at this site. You can view your property from aerial photos. It is a great site. Clicking on the map will provide coordinates also. Topo maps are also available.http://www.lostoutdoors.com/newmap.html quote: [This message was edited by civilwarranger on July 10, 2002 at 09:27 PM.]
