  1. I always spell out Thanks for the cache but that is all I say when there was no effort put into the hide. The better the hide or container, the longer the log.
  2. I say we dump the original front page artist and let you do it.
  3. Me too. Although mostly I was thinking how lovely to be swimming in the salty sea, on a hot day, not needing to care about where the sand got to, and what a change from most frozen, pebbly british beaches we've been to! Coldgears - see if you can get a job at the beach selling your own home-made lemonade next time you go! On another subject: Do socks always come in (odd) pairs here? Yeap. I consider him lucky. I've swam in a sea a few times but never an ocean. Everywhere I go, is fresh water. Fouled, brackish, leech infested, scummy, putrid, stenchy, yucky fresh water. Go to an ocean beach every year? You lucky sob! Some of us envy you, you lucky dog!
  4. Practice makes perfect. Nothing wrong with anything I've seen yet.
  5. Great work! You're up to 4 in two days. You are addicted. Welcome to the club.
  6. I do it (geocaching) without a gps'r. I've found quite a few (for me) in the woods. Later today, I'm going after 7 in a wooded area. A few have terrian difficulty ratings of 4. Urbans are boring. You can usually look on a map, set it down, drive to the location and check the most likely place to find one and there it is. Boring. Why people use a gps'r in urban is beyond me. More power to you. Try it, you'll like it.
  7. I've received e-mails since Tuesday. No problems here.
  8. Coming up with excuses why I drove the route I did to get some caches along the way. "But Honey, the light bulbs at the store over in Clio (20 miles) are 5 cents cheaper then the ones 2 miles down the road..." I drive 57 miles (one way) to work every day. I take a different route each day to get at least one cache.
  9. Send 'em all to me. I'll paste them over a metal frame and shellac them to it and create a log-monster.
  10. Confused yet? Better hope we don't follow in these footsteps... http://www.militaryacronyms.net/
  11. Just be glad he don't know about the Ultra Top Secret Membership accounts....
  12. If you're using a 13 year old phone then I'm sorry, but I just have to say, you're dumber than your phone and a bag of hammers put together. Nothing personal. I also like your signature line. That's kinda' insulting too.
  13. I'm building, by hand, a bunch of caches I plan on putting out soon. Water proofing them now. They will all be premium only due to less likelyhood of being stolen. No snobbery about it. I don't want some kid to steal them to put on their bedroom shelf. You got a phone? A payment plan? But you can't afford 30 bucks? How are you viewing this forum? Do you not have $30 or do you have it but just prefer to squander it on other things?
  14. Is it a public or private company? If it ain't public, none of your dang business...
  15. I only do a cache or two every day so if I can't find one in a short period of time to drop a bug or coin into, I'll hit up a safe, bigger one I've already been to. Just to keep them moving.
  16. Bright orane vest, tape measure and a pen and little note pad works for me if I'm alone. If my kids are along, they do the looking, because like stated above, kids are invisible when acting odd.
  17. Well crap. If I can't take credit for finding all the caches around me that shouldn't be there, I'd have like 15 left.
  18. $20? Gag! We need to have a ammo can clearing house. Those things only cost the scrappers a buck or so. That is some awesome profit. Hmm......
  19. Storm drains can be a real problem where flash floodings happen. But so can creek beds. I'd never let my kids go in one but if I was alone and found one.....
  20. I'd rather have my kids dealing with ya'll then going elsewhere on the net. This is a family oriented sport. Treat it like it is. If you don't like carrying on a conversation with a youngster then don't. But don't deny them an adult perspective on things. Kids need more of that, not less. Age don't mean squat nowadays on forums. Some of the underaged folk here are more mature then some of the 'mature' folk here.
  21. The Lamp post ones are my least favorite. Followed by guard rail and stop sign ones.
  22. I went for one last week that was in a place that little boys go to catch crayfish. It didn't last long. Little boys like to check stuff out and when they do, they put stuff in their pockets and forget about it.
