Just started a bookmark list and I am looking for some input from anyone that has done or placed caches near the trail. This includes other states like NY, PA, OH, etc.
Here are four that I know of, 2 in North Dakota & two in Minnesota
GC1371Q LOOKOUT HILL (ND)
GCAE21 SHEYENNE NATIONAL GRASSLANDS (ND)
GCWKB9 UPPADA LAKE (MN)
GCF238 NORTH COUNTRY TRAIL CACHE (MN)
Hope this helps.

Try posting your request on the MnGCA (Minnesota Geocachers Association) Web Site. I'm sure somebody in the area will help out.

I am a Den Leader for a group of Wolf Cub Scouts, one of the activities I have planned this year is to introduce the boys and their families to Geocaching. My family and I have really enjoyed the sport, although we are still rookies.
The purpose of this note is to ask for assistance from some experienced Geocachers (families preferable, but not required) to help the Scouts find some temporary geocaches that I will place in Plymouth, MN. This event is scheduled for a Monday in September.
If you are able to help with this event, please contact me at Kimmer@Krom.com.
PLEASE put the following in the subject line, so I don't delete it in error: "Wolf - Geocache Event". After I receive your email, I will follow up with directions and more specific information.
Thank you for taking time to read this note.
Regards,
The Romines

Placed my order, they will look great on our Chevy PU, and also on our 4 wheelers.

#1 One man's junk is another man's treasure. I wouldn't mind finding fishing lures.
#2 If there is a Cache hidden where you are going, chances are it's legal to hunt for them, if it's legal to hide them.
-
If someone can get it to Minnesota. I would like to particapate.
-
If I didn't bring my 5 year old Grandson along, I don't know what I would do with all the Hot Wheel cars in the Caches. As for pets, I take my dog with when I am able, she loves it. There was a Cache in my area that catered to dogs, it was loaded with squeeky toys and balls.

I think you stop being a newbie when you give back to the hobby and/or sport that has given you so much enjoyment. Maybe you've hidden for others to find, or helped get permission to hide in a local park or city or county. Whatever it is you have given back, that's when you stop being a newbie.

We had Ink Pens made up with our Names, Alias, and home town on them. At $0.64 each they were very economical.

[i checked on the cache an hour ago and after 12"+ of snow everything is perfectly dry inside.]
what are you going to find when the snow melts?

I lost count, were there more opinions against the use of the altoid can? Or were there more against the use of the verse? I say use the altoid can, and the Bible verse, it's your Cache and all maintainence is up to you. You can't please all the people all the time.

Go for it, Brother!
For the true Agnostic, a Bible quote is no different than a Shakespere quote. If you let those folks with religious phobias control your life, you've lost before you ever started. Just on a side note, I'm curious, let's say I printed a Bible quote in one of my caches. It's a group of words expressing a sentiment, which the individual cacher is free to read or ignore, at their whim. How exactly is that "shoving religion down someone's throat"? Why would somebody be so thin skinned to get aggravated over something written on a piece of paper? Are there really activists who would destroy something that somebody else made simply because they disagreed with a few words written on a piece of paper? I can't believe anybody is so intolerant that this behavior would be acceptable to them. As for those who leave nasty notes in your log, there ain't nothin' you can do about it. You'll find that tolerance is pretty one sided these days, so it's up to you to be the grown up and ignore childish stunts like this.
BTW, I'm not Agnostic, but I respect the beliefs of those who are.
"An it harm none, do as thy wilst"

How Has Aging Changed the Way You Geocache as Seeker and/or Hider?
in General geocaching topics
Posted
As my wife and I have aged, we also don't have the energy we used to. These days we tend to limit our finds to the Caches with the most favorite points. We also like to attend Event Caches to catch up with old friends and meet new cachers. I also have spent more time in the shop, making Caches that are fun to find, and make the hobby more enjoyable for seekers in the area. We get a lot of enjiyment from the kind logs we get from the hides we have set out.
