  1. Not really a garage sale issue anymore, but for those that were interested...my Rino's were shipped today...for the price that they had advertised.... pays to follow through and be persistant I guess.... I guess the business had been sold and they recently cleaned house of a couple of employees. When they were going through offices, they found correspondence between the better business bureau and several other people. Maybe others will get theirs as well!!!

  2. I have for sale this cute little yellow etrex! I can send pictures if people want them. I have not had it very long and have only used it on one cache, but 6 GPS units is too many in the house! There are no scratches on the screen and it works beautifully. I do not have full instruction manual, but I think it can be downloaded from Garmin's website. I will include the quick start guide. I would like to get $60 for this unit. I can not accept paypal, only a money order.... Thanks!

  3. How do I find out if this unit is WAAS enabled? Is there somewhere in it that tells me or do I just try to pick up satellites 47 and 35 (or whatever they are)? I am going to sell it and I know someone will ask me. It has version 2.14 on it. Can that be upgraded on the garmin site to the 3.5, or it that upgrade only for units that have 3.0 and higher?

  4. I did some checking with the Better Business Bureau. Apparently they haven't had any complaints in the past 36 months. I will let the know that at least 5 customers odered these Rino's and we are not happy with how it was handled. They were in and out of stock for 5 days....each day different. I don't know what they can do to remedy it, since now their site doesn't even bring it up except through the link posted here. However, I can certainly let them know that "we" are not happy with them or their customer service.

  5. I work with a program that services high risk youth. WE are ALWAYS looking for new and different ideas for recreation. I thought maybe I could get some entry level units and hide some caches for them to find. I don't know that I'd want them to know about the greater caching community as some of them tend to be a tad destructive, maybe I could term is orienteering or something, but this way they would be outside and be forced to work as a team to get something accomplished....anyone want to sell something that could be used for purposes such as this? I would be buying the units out of my own pocket and letting the program use them for now as they have a limited budget, so please be kind... thanks in advance.

  6. I upgraded to a premium membership at least a couple of weeks ago. Today I got an email asking fro validation...I am supposed to go to www.geocaching.com/v/ Is this something that is normal or something I need to delete? I don't want it to be one of those phishing viruses.....

  7. I posted the prices and available units on the previous thread, but here they are again...

ok...here are some of the prices on these things. Some of the models they have one of, some they have more than one. The guy explained that 90 percent of the time these are returned because people don't know how to work them....very rarely do they actually have something wrong with them. I will not guarantee any of these units...sort of a take your chances kind of thing. After I mail it, I am done. I also need to figure out how to accept payment....

  8. I am looking for a Geko for my son...he is 3 so I don't want to spend a bunch of money. Do you have one you'd like to sell? Email me which one and how much you are asking. I prefer only those in good condition. Must be in full working order and not have any scratched or cracks... thanks in advance.
